Let me be clear- I made this reservation last minute for my family and I was very quick about it (trying to save a few bucks). Probably the reason it turned out to be a MOTEL and not a HOTEL like I thought it would be.
When we finally found it, we were a little concerned about the size mostly, but just looking at it, you can tell it is very out-dated (probably why Expedia does not provide any pictures). After debating for several minutes on whether we should cancel, we decided to stay mostly because it was really too late to contact Expedia to change our plans, and also because we have 2 small children who had been in the car for a while.
The young lady at the front desk was very nice and I think she could sense my concern (I think she sees it alot). She accompanied me to our room and it was pretty much what I expected. But, like I said, we ended up staying mostly out of convenience. The beds looked and were VERY uncomfortable, the room and bathroom were clean, but the shower was just plain scary so we skipped it for one night. A positive was the peaceful brook running in the back which we listened to all night while not sleeping ;)
Located across the street from The Whale's Tale water park and down the road from Clark's Trading Post. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Not terrible for a one night stay, but may be for those who require top notch accomodations during their travel.
