“At first, a bit tricky to find, especially at night in the rain. Google maps sends you in the wrong direction. But easy to find once you find it. Just go down Maku’u and take a right on 12th and it’s right there in the right side. Property is very nicely appointed. Chickens and other gorgeous birds visited every day. The covered patio is great for morning coffee and evening wine. With two ceiling fans, we never turned on the a/c My wife loves the tub. ”

“Stayed during Christmas break. Great place, very cozy! The gas fire places throw just enough heat for the chilly winter nights. The kids really liked the bunk beds under the stairs, and the jacuzzi tub. The host left bath bombs and snacks for them. I liked drinking coffee in the hammock chairs in the morning.”

“We had a great stay. Pictures represent the property well. The place is about 20 minutes from Pahoa city-center (if that’s helpful). Met Sean who shared some insights about the area and local cuisine. Ashley was great at communicating and checking in with us via VRBO messages. Overall we had a really nice time in the area and were grateful to have a peaceful place to stay as we explored this side of the Island.”

“Cons: no hot water in the shower or house. At all. Ran ONLY the hot water line & never got hot water. Hubby bathed in kitchen sink with water from tea kettle. No privacy. At all. “This is a beautiful place and quite clean. They also have a cache of masks, snorkel, chairs and other beach items which is helpful. We used this cottage as base camp to visit Volcanoes NP.
