A few friends rented here to visit friends in the area. We received very clear instructions on how to enter (needing to flip the breaker for the water heater almost took us by surprise). The yard is gorgeous, and the property feels secluded in spite of being close to Red Arrow. The home is a bit eccentric - it’s prefab on cinderblocks, with a mix of antique furnishings and more contemporary, functional pieces. That can be seen in the listing, but you may not notice quirks like carpet in the primary bath. We noticed that there were plenty of dishes and serving platters. Overall, it feels functional and cozy.
I had my dog with me (much appreciated) and the large kennel in the primary bedroom was convenient. The cleanliness of the home in general was great, but my dog could tell that past dogs had peed on the rug in a couple of places. I’ve never seen him try to mark territory in a new place, but he tried that almost immediately here. I cleaned the places he was interested in and he was fine. Some degree of that is out of your control when your place is open to pets, so I totally get that, but it might be time for a deep clean on those carpets.
I also suggest better lighting in the main room. Brighter, warmer overhead lighting on a dimmer would make a big difference toward coziness.
