“We booked this house because of its proximity to friends who live on the island and the views, as shown in the listing. The house is well stocked and the views are gorgeous. Many reviews comment on how old the house it is, but I found it in great shape/ functional and clean. It also has a special beach charm. My only concern is that the “kid’s room” has its own entrance/ exit. We used outdoor chairs to “barricade” the door at night to ensure safety while sleeping. An exterior lock would be nice...

“Beautiful views of the area and Mt. Baker! This house is in a nice neighborhood with lots of space between them, so the yard is private, and the deck is huge! Kitchen was updated and accommodated cooking meals for our family reunion. Rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. A/C was a plus on the warm weekend we spent there. The shower door needs some repair but overall everything worked great. Would stay again! ”

“Lovely spot to catch up with friends! Very clean and well-appointed and everyone was delighted with the deck and hot tub. Comfortable beds; plenty of towels and blankets, etc. We didn't use the TV or entertainment system, so I can't speak to that-- the views and sunsets were entertainment enough. “Tyee Blue Heron cottage is beautifully done inside and sits with a beautiful beach and view. We had to wait thru a day of rain and then the sun came out and it warmed up. We saw Orca whales swim up the straight and you wonderful representative on the island was in contact and let us know she would text us if she heard they were back. This is our second time here and we have loved it both times. We will be back!”

“This is the second stay we've had at this home, and both provided memories. While our summer weather didn't hold up, the grey skies didn't ruin the kids' paddle boarding. We had about an hour of frustration trying to access entry. The property manager was finally able to help us out. Otherwise it was a great stay!”
