Perfect for our holiday celebration
This cabin was the perfect place for us to spend our Thanksgiving holiday. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make our meal. The cabin was very clean, uncluttered, and more spacious than I thought it would be. Our family of 4 had plenty of room. Our dogs enjoyed exploring outside and even saw two deer in the mornings. Close to town for groceries and eating out. The roads to the cabin were a little steep, so be cautious if arriving at night or in bad weather. Would love to stay here again!

Perfect Place for a Holiday Retreat
My family wanted to do something different this year for Thanksgiving and decided to celebrate the Holiday away from home. I am so glad we found Hurricane Haven! It was the perfect place for me, my husband, my grown children, and my mother to spend a few days relaxing and enjoying each other's company. The cabin had everything we needed, and then some! I was worried that it wouldn't have the necessary items to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal, but the kitchen is well-equipped and had everything necessary. The cabin is spacious, secluded, and it was spotless upon our arrival. Even though we are a large family, everyone had room to spread out and relax. And, the two wrap around porches provided plenty of space to enjoy being outside. We would definitely consider staying there again should we plan another trip to the Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area.

Nice and quiet place to stay
Comfortable home with lots of space. Wish beds were more comfortable as mattress’ were too hard for our liking. Enjoyed being able to cook in the nice kitchen with all the needed equipment.

Mountain getaway
This house was absolutely perfect for our group of 6! My kids loved the downstairs game area and the porches on the house make it feel like a tree house. We were sitting at the kitchen table and saw deer outside the window in the woods! We will definitely book this property again!

Quiet getaway
This property is quiet and full of wildlife. deer in the am and dusk. We only got to sleep there not much time to explore as we were horse showing at the equestrian center nearby. But would love to come again someday .

Secluded and private. Country setting with very hilly dirt roads so it’s important to drive slowly and carefully. Plenty of space to spread out and relax.

Bigger than expected!
The overall stay was very good. The house was much larger than expected even though two of our family members were not able to make it, the house was properly equipped. There was some confusion over the check-in gate and directions, which took us directly to the house so we were not sure why we needed to go back to check in at the main gate. But it all worked out perfectly fine once we got our passes.

Dog enjoyed the deer
Tucked away in the woods- quiet and wondered what it would look like in the fall color. Interior family oriented, well loved but very clean. Recliners Need some help!! Can’t get downstairs without going outside( we didn’t need to and didn’t try) Second bedroom upstairs was locked though so glad partner didn’t snore!! Happy to have found place that was pet friendly- he enjoyed the deer and turtles.

Secluded and quiet
We truly enjoyed our visit and the place was nice. There was a lot of room and would be great for a large group of people. It had separate rooms and many different places to get away and be alone for some R&R. It was close to town and the Lake. The fully equipped kitchen and pictures of the family made the place very homey and inviting. The beds are very firm so if you are used to a softer mattress bring a topper to soften it up. My only 2 complaints are the hot water did not last long. I took a shower and ran out of hot water by the time I shampooed my hair. The house smelled musty when we first got there. I opened the windows and it cleared out rather quickly.

Quiet and yet close to everything
Clean and tidy in and outside the cabin. Close to Lake Lure, grocery, restaurants. Other homes are near but not right next to each other. We saw many deer around the property. Very relaxing!

Birthday trip with Besties
We booked this trip for a birthday weekend trip for me and a pre Anniversary trip for our friends. There were 3 couples of best friends. We truly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and roominess of the cabin. Had a lot of antique memorabilia in it as well. Loved a Lake Lure and Chimney Rock, both nice little towns. Although it was a relaxing weekend for the most part, we did a couple of adventures. We rode a pontoon boat around Lake Lure and saw all of the beautiful homes on the lake as well as the spots where “Dirty Dancing” was filmed. We also conquered “Zip Zilla” a 6 part zip line through the mountains. And not to leave out we ate at most of the restaurants in Lake Lure and a couple in Chimney Rock.. We were not disappointed. Would really love to return in the near future and stay at the same cabin. Very very amazing trip.

A great place to stay!
Hurricane Haven was exactly that for my family. After leaving our beloved home to wait out Hurricane Florence, we stayed for over a week. The home was well equipped, comfy, and lovely. What impressed us most, was our realtor. He was always a message away, and was so generous and kind during our stay. We can't thank Patrick enough! Lake Lure was a beautiful community, but its people were so kind a generous...truly what made it so special and inviting. They made our stay easier. We even met the Mayor. Our experience was just simply amazing. Thank you to the owners of Hurricane Haven, Patrick, and so many others. We look forward to returning on better terms and enjoying our stay in beautiful Lake Lure in the future.
