To summarize our stay, this venue is a fantastic fit for hosting large groups. It's very spacious and built to accommodate a large crowd with ease.
Pros: Plenty of sleeping space (massive bunk rooms). Plenty of seating throughout the mansion (tables and chairs). Great layout that accommodates a comfortable stay for dozens without feeling the least bit crowded. Gorgeous view of the water. Fun game room. Lots of room for parking. Spacious lawn and beach. Private feel. Large televisions. Massive, comfortable couch. Responsive management.
Just a few cons from our stay. Most of these are quite minor: When we arrived there was a considerable amount of trash leftover from the previous tenants and some general messes that weren't cleaned up. One of the slider screens was also broken. When it came to the kitchen, the stove was missing its main burner, one of the two coffee makers was broken, and while there were two ovens they were both a bit smaller than typical ovens, so if someone were to trying to cook a meal for a larger group and needed to use the ovens, it could be difficult to time it all out correctly. All that said, we informed the manager on many of these and they were thankful to hear these things, responsive to us, and apologetic, which we were grateful for. Of course, this is a very large place and so maintaining it is a large undertaking, but the ownership and management really seem to care about doing a great job.
Overall, this place would easily meet the need for hosting a large group comfortably.
