What a disaster of what should have been a nice relaxing getaway.
We arrived to a freezing house (the thermostat said 45F but when we checked on a thermometer it was 39F). I contacted the owner and they said someone would arrive tomorrow morning. The owner said to use blankets and one space heater to warm up in the meantime. We tried using the 3 fireplaces, but everything was still cold. We were able to see our breath indoors, my friends were unable to feel their feet, it felt just as cold as outdoors. They had two space heaters delivered, but this barely did anything since it was a large property.
So we were freezing until the following afternoon (last day) because it took the now-fixed heater a long time to get the temperature back to a comfortable place. Once this was solved, the water stopped running warm water. Only 2 out of 8 of us could shower comfortably, leaving the other 6 out of luck.
I asked support for other options, however, there were no viable options since the largest site could only accommodate was 6 people.
Given all of these inconveniences, including me losing time because of the time I spent speaking to the owner and support, a refund of some sort sounds fair, right? Nope, the owner says this was all out of their control and that the funds they received from me were used for the repairman. Glad to know that me and my friends being uncomfortable this past weekend went into fixing this property, not!
I would not recommend this property, stay away!
