Exceeded ALL Expectations
The property was incredible! It was clean, well stocked and in a quiet neighborhood. Liz and Doug were the perfect hosts. They welcomed us with a generous locally sourced gift basket and always greeted us with a warm smile when we saw them outside. I really appreciated that they lived right next door. We didn't end up needing them, but it was reassuring to know they were there. I'll definitely stay at WindSong again if I find myself in the La Crosse area in the future!

Everything You Need
What a great place! Literally the cleanest, most organized vacation rental we’ve ever stayed in! Having the two living spaces upstairs and downstairs was great for our family. Gave our teens their own space to hang out while allowing my husband space to get zoom meetings in. Patios are amazing to enjoy the summer weather! Highly recommend!

River Song Stay
We had a wonderful stay at River Song. The area is peaceful with access to the river for fishing and boating. Doug and Liz have a very clean and organized VRBO. We would definitely stay again.

A Weekend to Sneak Off-Campus
Riversong was the perfect location to spend the weekend with our UW-La Crosse student. After picking her up from campus, we stopped at Festival and stocked up with all the foods she was craving. She enjoyed cooking and baking a few things with her mom for the weekend. We played games and watched movies together, too. The split level was ideal. It allowed her to sleep in longer while we as early rising parents could be awake and up and about without waking her. The location is close to main areas so we spent time downtown as well as hiking the bluffs. Bonus! The nice laundry space gave her the opportunity to do her laundry before heading back to the dorm. Overall, the weekend felt quite like a weekend of having her home.....we just brought the home to La Crosse!

Second Perfect Visit
This was our second time staying at this property, and it was great! We’ve stayed at many other places listed on VRBO, but RiverSong is the best. It’s extremely clean, and the view of the river is beautiful. La Crosse is a fun town. There is plenty to do, but mostly we just like relaxing, and this place is perfect for that.

Super Clean and Well-appointed
The owners pay attention to detail. The pictures of the property are true to what you will see and experience while in their house. The check-in and out process was super easy and the rules are not onerous as some of the other places we’ve stayed in the past. We enjoyed our visit and highly recommend the “River-Song”!

Peaceful getaway
Wonderful property! The host was wonderful and accommodating. The house has large showers, very organized and clean. The yard is meticulous kept cared for! We did some kayaking directly from the property that was not on the main channel so the currents did NOT sweep us away. We will definitely be back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND A SUPER HOST!

Graduation Weekend
This property worked well for us. We were up for the weekend for our daughter's college graduation. The host had everything provided and added alot of extra details for convenience. I would recommend to others. It was also very cleanly. My only feedback would be there were stairs that are short. We had elderly women with us which had to be careful going up or down.

Our group of 3 couples spent a wonderful weekend here. Property was super clean, stocked with all the amenities, comfortable spaces to socialize and enjoy the river view and convenient to all activities nearby. Our group planned road bike rides from the home and cooked meals on site. Well stocked kitchen and even a surprise welcome basket with local goodies. Highly recommend and will stay again!

Property was lovely. Nice location on the back waters of the Mississippi, beautiful sunset. We all want to come back in the summer. House has everything you could imagine and more! Amazing Teacher Getaway
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at this great home. We stayed here to have a teacher friends getaway and attend the WI State Dance Competition in La Crosse. The home was great to social in and had the perfect amount of room for us to hang out in but also give us space if we wanted to be alone. Highly recommend!! We will be back!!

Cleanest House I've Ever Rented
I have rented a lot of homes over the years on VRBO and other sites and this one without a doubt was the cleanest and most organized home. Everything we needed to enjoy our stay was there and easy to find. The owner must have spent a lot of money on a label maker and it was appreciated. We were a group of four friends in town for a hunting trip. Everyone had their own bed and there was plenty of room to keep all of our gear inside in the lower level laundry room and storage area. The house is close to Walmart and many restaurants which was convenient. I could see staying here for a fishing trip next time as the house is right on the river with easy access.

Best VRBO/AB&B I have ever stayed at!
This took me a while to write this because I wanted to try and think of some clever ways to impress upon you how incredible my (our) stay was. However, I don't think that my words will do it justice. *Free gifts of local syrup, pancake mix, spices (for said pancake mix), and a small pastry. They all tasted wonderful! *VERY roomy! Two separate kitchens/living rooms which worked out well for us as my Father and Mother in Law get up WAY before I do, so they were able to do their thing and not worry about waking us up. *Every knick-knack you can think of is here. Bottled water, extra toothpaste, extra toothbrushes, etcetera. *Everything was labelled, most with the number of items there were to begin with, including the lights! I really loved this as a fellow person with an attention to detail! I could go on, but I don't want this to seem unrealistic. Bottom line, I am confident that you will enjoy your stay! We will be coming back in the coming years to visit family and I am hoping that this house will be available!

Absolutely amazing home! Book it!
This home is absolutely incredible! The attention to detail by the homeowners is top notch! We were welcomed to this wonderful home with a gift basket and sweet note from Liz and Doug. There was also huge binder of all things LaCrosse which was pretty incredible! The home itself was spotless and unbelievably well organized! The kitchen was stocked with every cooking item you could need, including a few spices, oils, coffee, as well as tin foil, saran wrap, etc, all of which is incredibly rare to find in rental properties! There was even an adorable S'mores box! The bathrooms were stocked with towels, extra soaps, TP, etc. The showers were fantastic! The bedrooms were spacious. The beds, pillows, and bedding were clean and comfy. Each room had their own TV, plenty of closet space with hangers, and places for luggage. The two porches and backyard were amazing! Each porch is loaded with lightweight chairs and tables, and thoughtful little baskets of bug sprays were left around. Each porch had multiple ceiling fans which were wonderful as it was very hot and humid during our stay. We spent most of our time on the porches and around the firepit, which I have to say has the cleanest, most organized woodshed I have EVER seen! We enjoyed listening to the birds and frogs, seeing fireflies and looking at the stars! We brought kayaks and took them out right from the dock. Getting them to and from the water could be a little tricky for some, as it is rather steep for most of the way, but it's not too much of a challenge. Getting in and out of a kayak from the dock does require some agility, but again not too challenging. And also, the worst that could happen is you fall in the water! We had so much fun paddling around the backwaters and finding small beaches to explore, I think we were out for hours! The home is close in proximity to town, but it is so quiet you feel like you are far far away from everything! The neighborhood was absolutely silent, I think I heard one lawnmower the entire weekend! I can't say enough about this incredible property! Thank you Liz and Doug for all your hard work in making this home so amazing!! I would absolutely stay here again and will recommend RiverSong to anyone I know traveling to LaCrosse! ~Maurine and the mystery trip girls

Relaxing weekend getaway
Our family had a much needed relaxing weekend at RiverSong. The property is incredibly organized and well put together. The location was perfect. It was a very private setting but close proximity to downtown La Crosse for dining and sightseeing. We enjoyed the water access and the dock for fishing and kayaking. The backyard is beautiful and well thought out. It was a really great place to stay. I would highly recommend Riversong if you are looking for a relaxing place to spend your time.
