Beautiful Ocean Retreat
We had a wonderful stay during our trip to Kauai. We couldn’t quite tell from the photos, but the deck is not completely private as it is shared with one other unit. We didn’t see the other tenants though and had the deck all to ourselves for some pretty spectacular sunsets. There are a few turtles that hang out in the bay directly below, we saw whales in the distance, and the view is amazing all around. The unit itself is clean, although it is a little dated. The dishwasher was out of service, the fridge has some rust spots, and the front door has a pretty loud squeak, but other than that the property is clean and well taken care of. Parking is pretty tight, so smaller vehicles are best, although we were able to park a jeep with caution. We would definitely stay here again!

An Honest Review:
We booked this property because my son was getting married on the grounds and everyone in the wedding party had booked other condos here. The reviews weren’t the greatest but it was the only condo left in the complex and it fit our needs. I must admit I wasn’t expecting much based on some of the other reviews. When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised that the condo was much better than I had anticipated. It was clean, well stocked with paper products, great water pressure and lots of hot water in the shower, comfy mattress and pillows. It also had beach chairs, cooler, etc. The kitchen has the basics but you’re not going to cook any gourmet meals in it. This is an efficiency type kitchen but perfect for our needs as we never cook with so many wonderful restaurants close by. As for the location! Wowsa! You cannot be any closer to the water unless you’re staying on a boat. Amazing to go to sleep listening to the waves crashing against the rocks right outside the window. We had our morning coffee on the deck while watching whales, turtles, and sometimes spinner dolphins go by. There were always turtles swimming right below the deck. Just incredible. Lastly, I want to mention that a new sofa was delivered during my stay. Owners are making improvements. I would recommend this place and stay here again.

Amazing views, but……
Although the views are amazing, there are many issues with the unit itself. The blinds are broken and stuck open in the bedroom and broken stuck closed in the living/kitchen area, the patio umbrella is broken, there is only one chair at the kitchen table, there were dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived (not sure if they were clean or dirty), the sink in the small bathroom barely drains, we had an issue with the air conditioner where we went to the property manager and they told us we needed to call Vacasa. When we called Vacasa they said there was no a/c in this unit, wouldn’t listen to our concerns or refer us to anyone else and hung up on us. Extremely disappointed in Vacasa customer service. I have never stayed in a property where there is no pride in ownership to keep up the maintenance of the property.

TV not working in bedroom. Fan not working in living room. Air conditioner in bedroom and living room stopped working on Friday. I was told someone would be over to fix it. No one showed up. I called vacasa on Saturday morning, they said no one was available on the weekend, So all day Friday and Saturday and Sunday morning no air conditioner. Will never book here or with vacasa agin

Amazing view
We loved our stay here! We loved the private deck and the views are amazing! We saw turtles every single day on the deck. Poipu beach is so close and there’s a walking path to get there. Poipu beach is a awesome beach to snorkel at! We saw a couple turtles and 2 seals! Such a fun stay we will definitely be back!

We Love Poipu Shores!!
We have stayed at a Poipu Shores many times. This is our first in B101. It’s a lovely unit. Everything you need and more. Love the semi private deck over the the ocean and sleeping to sounds if the pounding surf. Doesn’t get any better than this!

Great location! Condo not what we expected from the photos and description. Tho it has some nice features it needs a total update. The windows were dirty. The door is difficult to open. Floor tiles were cracked. The landscaping around the condo was not up to par at all with the rest of the property. Lastly, the deck and railing need immediate attention. On the flip side, from the shared deck you can watch the turtles feeding below, follow the tropic birds sailing in and out of the adjacent rocks, catch a whale sighting, and see some spectacular sunsets over the pool.

Poipu Beach getaway
Our first time in Kauai and the place is better than even pictures can show. The rental was right on the ocean, we went to sleep to the sounds of waves every night and woke to watch the sunrise and the sea turtles every morning. Just a short walk to the public beach, which we did every morning as well. A great home base to tour the entire island and also nice to stick close to home to swim in the pool, lay in the sun on your private lanai, and watch the whales breach. Pure heaven.

5 stars for location, needs updated furniture and flooring
We stayed in this unit over spring vacation. Amazing location with turtles just over the deck, saw whales breaching, a group of dolphins, monk seal all just off the deck. We truly stayed in the unit a lot of our time. The king bed was very comfy but not the living couch or furniture. The condo was well equipped which was nice. Would stay here again but hopefully they will get a new tile floor!

The location with the lanai over the water, the pool, the proximity to the beach Is a winning combo
Quiet south shore locale with spacious private lanai and fantastic views along the coast - on a good day you can see Nihau. There are turtles in the water just below the lanai, and whales (Jan), dolphins, etc putting on a show plus the heated pool with same great view literally steps away and a short 5 min walk off property to a great beach spot to swim/snorkel. These are the reasons to visit this property. The actual unit was comfortable although interior is dated and could use a facelift. The lack of an oven was minor inconvenience. Cable was glitchy but then you don’t come to Kauai to watch tv. The rental car arrangement rounds out the package. This was a return visit to this same unit from our last trip out and we were very happy to be there. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great Place
Great location. Short walk to Brennecke and Poipu Beaches. Unit 101B has a shared deck with 102B and plenty of space. You have an overlook onto the rocky shore where you can see sea turtles swimming daily. Take a walk over to Poipu Beach in the morning to see the turtles sleeping on the beach. Never used the pool, but it looked very nice. It's over to the right and down a level, separated from this unit's deck. The unit itself is pretty outdated with furniture, but that was of little consequence to me. Everything was comfortable. Nice TV to use. In-unit laundry with detergent was nice to have. Also, there are two beach chairs, a beach umbrella and a boogie board in the closet for use. Brennecke Beach is the place to go with the boogie board. Along with the included rental car, this was a great place to book.

Beautiful location
We enjoyed a week at this comfortable condo. The view from the private deck is the greatest. We enjoyed watching sea turtles in the water several times a day off of our deck. The stars are spectacular at night with less light around you can see so much more the sky lights. The location on the island was good too. With the included rental car we really were able to see this island.
