Esta casa de 2000 pies cuadrados con 3 habitaciones y 2 baños es el retiro perfecto de su ajetreado estilo de vida continental, con sus techos abovedados, muebles estilo isla tropical, cocina totalmente equipada, lavadero grande, iluminación empotrada y tragaluces en todas partes, frente patio y LANAI en el patio trasero con sillones, parrilla de gas, hibisco y palmeras.

Puertas corredizas de vidrio de las habitaciones de huéspedes y el comedor se abren hacia el patio delantero, mientras que la sala de estar y dormitorio principal le invitan a salir al patio trasero pacífica y terraza resguardada. Paso hacia abajo en el relax, bañera caliente, hundido en el dormitorio principal en suite. Hay ropa de cama extra y toallas de playa.

vacation home in Poipu Kai
Poipu Kai is a great location when visiting Kauai. This home has three bedrooms which is great for 1-2 families. Plenty of beds, futons and porta-cribs for littles. Overhead fans but NO A/C which is a big drawback during summer months. It gets quite hot and takes a long time to cool down, especially if there's not much of an evening breeze. Would be helpful if there were black out curtains on all windows to keep the heat out and additional fans as the overhead fan in of the bedrooms was not very strong. Nice lanai, grill and coolers to use during the day and beach stuff (boogies boards), chairs (one was broken). As mentioned by others, internet does not work in bedrooms. Pool was nice and it's within walking distance to Poipu beach (which is great).

Fun Family Vacation
Great location. The kids loved the daily wagon rides to Shipwreck Beach. Was a chill few days in a nice house. The house gets a little stuffy when it’s hot during the day so the more air flow you get going the better. Not super important but I think a remote might be missing for the living room TV (couldn’t figure out how to go “back”). All in all a great trip. Would stay again.

Could use some updates but great location and good size
Pros: -Great location in Poipu walkable to Poipu beach & shipwreck beach (Grand Hyatt). -You can tell it is dated from the photos, but I actually found it was better in-person than in the photos. But significant updates -Well stocked a ton of kitchen items, beach items, etc. Nothing is in good shape, but worked fine. -The house is large and comfortable, plenty of room for 2 families (4 adults + 2 kids) Cons: -My main annoyance was the wifi only worked in the living room and not in the bedrooms. -There is a TV remote missing in the main living room. -Couldn't get the TV to work in the bedroom at all. Would be great if they would invest in a master remote or something to make the TVs easier to use particularly in the living room -The information was outdated in the info packet for example the first 4 restaurants I looked up that were recommended were all closed (an info packet is just a nice to have and not a necessity, but thought I would mention as it fits the theme of the house that it's just not well maintained) -It was in the high 60s so not too hot, using fans, ceiling fans, and the outdoor window vents did cool down the house but I'd be worried if it was much hotter was still a little stuffy

Fantastic home base for everything Poipu
It was the perfect place for our family. The description was accurate to a point because I somehow missed that this house is in the perfect location for everything. Poipu and all the beaches around it are a short walk away with turtles and seals and waves and snorkeling and Puka dogs (go there!). The other direction is Hyatt beaches with sand and lava rocks and views and hikes and it’s all connected by a great trail system. The house was big, quiet and great for a family. No air conditioning but you only notice in the afternoon for a little bit. Just open all the windows and vents and it’s great OR be outside in the afternoon and you don’t even know. Beds were great, plenty of beach stuff to borrow and lots of lounging areas after a long day at the beach. We loved our stay and the host and house were great. Easily recommend.

This property is in a good location with easy access to many beaches and restaurants nearby. It does however need some TLC. The master bath shower does not drain, as well as the sinks in the main bathroom. The towels definitely need an upgrade and there are not enough of them. The patio area was filthy when we arrived, we spent our first night cleaning it. Also, the backyard pictures in the listing depicts a decent grassy space, however there is very small area of grass and dirt. Overall it is very dated and needs some love.

Terrific location and responsive host
All previous reviews are accurate. The house is as pictured. It’s charming and is true to the Hawaiian style. If you need air conditioning, you may want to reconsider this home; the house becomes extremely hot in the afternoon and early evening. After a few days, however, we didn’t miss having air conditioning! Overall, I suggest this home as it is located in lovely neighborhood close to two beaches.

Great stay!
Nice place to stay! Well equipped with kitchen supplies, beach towels, boogie boards, plenty of T. Paper and paper towels! Was a little warm in the late evening but cooled off nicely from about 11PM on! Close to a couple of beaches but seemed like a little longer walk than as stated. Our family of 8 fit very comfortable here with 2 younger boys sleeping on the pullout sofa. House needs a few updates but is very adequate. We enjoyed our stay here!

Nice stay in Poipu
This was a convenient and clean rental home. The location is very good. The amenities are good. Some beach equipment is available for use. The only downside was a lack of good air flow which made it hard to cool off the house, and one of the TV or TV remotes was not working. Everything else was great.

We stayed in this home the month of March 2023 and found it to have plenty of room for our family. It is equipped very well with kitchen items and beach things. The home is older, but it suited our needs perfectly and the location is ideal.

Great location and we’ll stocked house
The location is unbeatable. Easy walk to both poipu beach and shipwreck beach which are two of the best beaches in the area. The house was well stocked with supplies including soaps, trash bags, shampoo/conditioner etc. There was great airflow in the house with the lower shutters that opened. The house was definitely dated but that was apparent in the photos. The appliances were touchy to get working correctly and the towels could use updating but otherwise we had a great time and would stay at this house again.

Wonderful Kauai family trip!
I definitely recommend this vacation house! Very spacious, comfortable and clean vacation rental house for my family of 3 adults. It was the perfect "home away from home" for us during our 2 weeks on Kauai! The kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed. The living room, dining room, outside patio areas were wonderful. Bedrooms and beds were quite comfortable. Ceiling and floor fans in each room of the house. Home was conveniently located to everything in Poipu and Koloa area. Sonya--thank you for sharing your Kauai vacation home! We really enjoyed our stay there and the memories made visiting with family. I appreciate your prompt communications too.

Amazing
We were a family of 4, one of whom used a wheelchair, a set of grandparents and a sister, husband and 10 year old. The house was well located and has great kitchen and bar b q for meal prep. The location is very walkable and close to great beaches as well as a great jumping off spot for visits to other parts of the island.

Great location
Great location near multiple beaches. We did some excellent scuba diving and snorkeling just down the road at Koloa Landing, and this made for an excellent base camp. The only downside is the lack of air conditioning, but we did alright without it.

Fantastic family stay
Great location for our young family. Walking distance to pool, beaches and the Grand Hyatt where we were attending a conference. Quiet neighborhood with little traffic. The Owner was very accommodating and helpful to us with our stay and some specific needs that came up. I would recommend this to anyone looking for space to spread out with a young family while visiting the island.

Forever wonderful memories
Our family loved the location because we could walk to Poipu Beach or Shipwreck, to nearby restaurants, the pool, or go for a walk/run on the trail system. The open community space was used for soccer and kickball. This property met all our needs. Excellent host, very accommodating and helpful. We all highly recommend the property.

Great location.
The location was great. The kitchen had every utensil you could need to cook fantastic meals. The house is spacious but needs a deep clean.. I was worried that the dresser in the main bedroom had mold. One shade inches hallway was molded. Kitchen cabinet is broken. IF you want to watch a movie the T.v.is on the smaller side,but adequate. I texted the manager about a broken lamp and received no reply. The island is fantastic.

Great family house!
We loved our 2.5 weeks! 10 min walk to Poipu beach, and has lots of great beach gear (wagon, chairs, umbrella etc). Great house for kids and has everything you need. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
