I wanted to spend a few days in the town where I serve as an interim pastor. Since I have a 50-minute commute each way, I have not spent as much time doing things in the town of Kingston as I would like, and this lovely vacation home is an easy walk to the church. I especially enjoyed having time each morning and evening on the balcony which overlooks the river. Most days I went for a little jaunt on the riverside walking path which goes right in front of the property. The Lakeside Farmer's Market runs on Saturdays during the spring and summer and has a lot of variety. It's just a couple of minutes' walk away.
The property itself is very clean and is decorated very nicely. The bed is comfortable, and the water pressure and temperature in the shower were great. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots and pans, utensils, and pretty much everything you need to put together a delicious meal (Except the food and seasonings, etc. You need to bring that yourself!). But if you are there when they are open, be sure and check out Bettye Rose Bakery, another easy walk away. They have delicious pastries and lunch items, including homemade soup.
There's a Keurig and a good supply of coffee pods, water in the fridge, and even a basket of snacks!
I really enjoyed my time at the Badger Inn. Thanks, Rhonda and Clay for making me feel so welcome!
