Woodcutters es una cabaña cómoda, lujosa y totalmente equipada ubicada en un valle tranquilo y protegido a solo 1,5 millas de la playa de Bantham. Suficientemente grande para una familia de seis personas, dormitorio tipo loft solo apto para niños o adolescentes, pero aún lo suficientemente acogedor para que las parejas disfruten de esta hermosa cabaña. Perfecto para aquellos que desean escapar del ajetreo y el bullicio de la vida cotidiana y aún así estar cerca de las atracciones turísticas de la zona de jamones del sur de Devon. A cinco minutos en coche, la playa de Bantham es un paraíso para los surfistas y desde allí puede caminar por el camino costero en cualquier dirección hasta donde sus pies lo lleven. El paisaje es excelente y hay muchas playas y calas en el camino. Un poco más lejos puede visitar Salcombe, Dartmouth, Totnes, Noss Mayo, Newton Ferrers, el puente de los reyes y muchos pueblos encantadores.
Woodcutters es una de las seis cabañas privadas en el entorno idílico del parque Buck Land. Es administrado, mantenido y actualizado continuamente por sus propietarios para proporcionar un alojamiento excelentemente cómodo.
Acercado por escalones hasta la cubierta abierta, ingresa a través de puertas dobles en el acogedor salón. Hay un sofá y tres sillas, TV / DVD, estufa eléctrica de pared y estufa de leña para las noches frías. La cocina abierta conduce al salón, está bellamente decorada y tiene una mesa de pino con seis sillas, nevera-congelador, horno, vitrocerámica, microondas y lavadora.
Las habitaciones dobles y dobles se abren al salón. Amplias habitaciones con amplio espacio de almacenamiento, mesitas de noche y calentadores de pared eléctricos. El amplio baño tiene bañera con ducha, inodoro, lavabo y toallero eléctrico.
Las escaleras de ahorro de espacio conducen arriba a la gran habitación doble / sala de juegos con sus ventanas velux que dan a la ladera ideal para niños o adolescentes. (esta habitación no es adecuada para bebés o niños pequeños)
Afuera hay un jardín privado y soleado con mesa de picnic, un lugar perfecto para relajarse por la noche mientras disfruta de las vistas de la ladera y escucha el murmullo de la cabaña.

We had a very enjoyable and peaceful stay, interrupted only by the lovely sounds from the cows. The cabin was very clean and well equipped. I would mention that to leave the property you need to drive or walk up a very steep road, this could cause difficulties for people with any walking challenges or for nervous drivers.

Great little lodge in the Countryside
Lovely lodge in the peaceful countryside where the only sounds you hear are those of the cows, sheep and birds. Wonderfully relaxing with plenty of walking nearby.

I would book again
Our party of six were very happy with the Woodcutters Lodge. The location, so close to bantam beach was great and we were able to access the rest of the region quite easily. I would only caution that if you have elderly people in your party who struggle with stairs or not overly fit, that perhaps this isn't the best cottage to access from the road as the ground can get quite muddy after rain and the stairs quite slippery when it is the slightest bit damp. That said being careful, making sure the person had help, as we did should suit anyone.

Ruhige Ferien in Devon
Nach ein paar Tagen London war Woodcutters genau das Richtige, um ein paar ruhige Tage in Devon zu verbringen. Es ist alles da, der Strand ist mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen (wenn man sich am die engen Straßen einmal gewöhnt hat) und die Umgebung hat mit seinen malerischen Städtchen auch einiges zu bieten. Vielen Dank für die erholsamen Tage im Grünen!

Wonderful relaxing break
The host was very prompt with any questions we had prior to our stay. We were blessed with wonderful weather to explore the surrounding beaches. Slapton was wonderful for our dog. Miles of beach and dog friendly all year around. The garden is peaceful, well maintained, and we loved the natural wildflower hedging. Many birds visiting - we brought some bird food - Goldfinch, black birds, robin and even a female pheasant to name a few . Ideal garden for our boxer "Bertie" to laze about in. Beautiful setting and surroundings and would highly recommend. Our only query would be the checking in and out times? Is it 3 or 4 or 9 or 10?

Tranquil stay
Lovely rural location, 5 mins drive from huge beach. Very well equipped cottage. Kids thought the loft room was great. Warm and cosy with just the heaters but option to have the little log burner on if needed. Very quiet, dog loved it but had to keep him on lead outside as the fenced in area only came up to his chest so had he been off lead he would have jumped over. If it had a 5 ft fence all round it ( which wouldn’t spoil it in any way) it would have been 110% but saying that we managed and would definitely stay there again. 👍🏻

Holiday away from it all in the countryside but near so many unspoiled beaches and villages.
The online details provided were spot on and the clean, well-appointed cabin satisfied our need for a break in the country. We were surrounded by fields and wildlife, which our granddaughters enjoyed watching. Once we had navigated the challenging lanes, we enjoyed visiting the unspoiled beaches nearby. The children loved their attic bedroom but with no door we had to rely on TV subtitles to allow them to get to sleep. I’d certainly recommend this property to anyone wanting peace and quiet .

Eine herrliche Zeit in Devon
Auf der Hinfahrt kamen uns Zweifel, ob sich so eine lange Autoreise von Berlin nach Buckland Garden wirklich eine so gute Idee war: Aber das war sie. Der Aufenthalt in John Woodcutter Lodge hat wirklich Freude gemacht; die komfortable Hütte ist gut ausgestattet und bietet einer Familie genügend Raum. Geschirr und Besteck waren genügend da und auch der Rest der Küchenausstattung war gut durchdacht. Eine Spülmaschine gibt es nicht. Dafür aber eine Waschmaschine, die wir sehr geschätzt haben. Und die Landschaft mit ihren kleinen Fischerorten ist wirklich sehr reizvoll. Zwar bemühen sich die Engländer sie hinter hohen Hecken an den Straßen zu verstecken, doch hat man seine Ausflugsziele erst einmal erreicht, ist von den reizvollen Örtlichkeiten doch sehr begeistert. Also: Würden wir wieder hinfahren? Auf jeden Fall, vielleicht in zwei oder drei Jahren. Empfehlen können wir Johns Hütte ohnehin.

Excellent holiday home
My family and I stayed at Woodcutters for a long weekend, we had the most amazing time. Near the beaches, not far from supermarkets to get anything we needed, not that we did as the cabin was equipt with everything and more. Peaceful, relaxing and comfortable. Check in was easy. We were greeted with a bottle of wine waiting on the table, which was such a lovely gesture, thank you. The lady who owns next door (sorry I can’t remember your name) popped past as my dog took a liking to her, she was very nice and also made sure everything was okay. The scenery was beautiful, we were blessed with lovely sun (we had rain forecast but we’re very lucky), so much so we spent every evening listening to the wildlife with a drink. We have recommended to our family and friends and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you :)

We loved the cabin XX Astrid was really helpful. It is a beautiful location and we have been to the area before so know the roads are a challenge. You need to download the key code prior to arrival as no signal at the cabin on mobile data but every one was really helpful. Thank you for a lovely break.

April Break
The lodge was ideal for myself and friends who were visiting Devon and we all loved the place. It is set in peaceful scenery and we enjoyed watching the local wildlife (sheep, lambs and pheasants) during our stay. We took advantage of only being 30min walk to the local pub for a couple of meals and it is only a 10min drive to Kingsbridge. The lodger was clean, tidy and provided everything we needed. We highly recommend.

Lovely end of summer break
Woodcutters is in a beautiful wooded valley. So peaceful. Local Bantham beach is stunning and the cafe in the village does great food with gorgeous sea view. The cabin is homely & comfortable & well placed to explore nearby Kingsbridge as well as slightly further afield like Totnes & Dartmouth. Hubby, hounds & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would have happily moved into the cabin permanently! Thank you 😊

Happy Sunny Stay
We had a fantastic week at Woodcutters. Fantastic location for Bantham, South Milton and Bigbury. The Lodge was clean, private and well kitted out. We loved having the outside space to relax and the kids loved the attic room as a play area. Internet was unreliable due to the situation of the property, this didn't cause us any problem. We would love to come back, so much more to explore.

A Gem in stunning location
A cosy but fully equipped and well maintained cabin with lovely cottage feel, stylishly decorated. Beautiful views, well kept pretty garden and fabulous location next to Bantham beach. Owner was very helpful. We loved our stay here and would happily stayed on for another week if we could have. Worked brilliantly for family of 4, I think the attic room would get too hot in a hot summer week and the mattresses up there were not as comfortable. But with a comfortable large twin and double downstairs we fitted perfectly.

Lovely relaxing stay at Woodcutters lodge. Clean and Well equipped kitchen. A bonus to have a couple of loungers to enjoy the tranquility of the lodge garden. We had two large dogs with us and four adults some off the time, plenty of room for all of us. Wonderful wild life squirrels birds rabbits and the beautiful south devon herd . We have arrived home know and miss the lodge 😞thank you john(owner)
