“This property is the cutest cottage - an older home that has been updated but still keeping with it's original details and charm. My 91 YO dad loved it - it was very nostalgic for him. I would have loved to stay a bit longer just to soak in the nostalgia. I would highly recommend this property, it is walking distance to several of the Mayberry sights. If I am in the area for an overnight, I will stay here again. ”

They also gave us great restaurant suggestions which really helped since there really is nothing close by. Having coffee and a few snacks was also a very nice touch. “The deck overlooking the creek and spillway added so much enjoyment! It made for a beautiful way to start and end the day. Our kids enjoyed fishing, finding crayfish and clambering around the rocks in the creek. We all liked the modern farmhouse feel and style of the interior of the house. The beds were very comfortable and the bedroom fans were helpful as it was a hot weekend. Checkout and check-in were easy. We loved our time here! ”

“The bungalow was perfect for our overnight stay. It is very close to Downtown and all the little shops. The only small inconvenience was the listing said there was a futon as the second place to sleep however it was actually a couch with 2 ottomans. It was fine for a night but could have been an issue if we planned to stay longer. ”
