Harbor Home, Colington Island, Outer Banks
Spent the first week of November for our autumn trip to the Banks. This 2-bedroom cottage was ideal for my wife, me, and our pet Stella. The location, on a residential harbor, was ideal for enjoying the activities of the surrounding area; but, tucked away on the sound side in a quiet, gated community. We really enjoyed sitting on the boat dock with a beverage in the afternoons. Hope this property is available so we can stay here again.

Fall Road Trip from FL to ME
We stayed for 3 nights and experienced breezy weather, great generational restaurants, shopping, sunsets, lighthouse sights, and more. Beautifully situated cottage that was exactly how it was described. Comfortable beds, rockers on back screened porch, fully equipped kitchen, and more. Beautiful well appointed cottage.
The cottage was spotless when we arrived, with a well stocked kitchen full of pots, pans, etc.. The bar had really nice glasses and platters. The screened porch was perfect where we spent most of our time. We had a wonderful time and hope to return many times in the future. The owner was very friendly and responsive to questions we had. It was super quiet and neighbors were very friendly. It was a wonderful getaway with our kids and a truly memory making long weekend. Thank you Barbara!❤️

Great mattresses!
The property is beautiful and the surroundings relaxing, as advertised. Convenient to KDH/Kitty Hawk stores and restaurants. The outdoor shower is so lovely and offers plenty of privacy. What I was really excited about was how comfortable the beds are! I always worry I won't sleep well away from home, but the mattress were super comfortable! The split A/C being adjustable in each room was also great. We had no trouble keeping the house comfortable. The dishwasher and laundry were wonderful to have. A great retreat all around!

Was nice house
House was nice. Need to make sure to keep shower room window open when taking a shower alomg with washing/drying clothes. Or it will set fire alarm off everytime, thats if you dont close the bathroom door anyhow. And was told we were aloud to use the kayaks but thats not true since they are locked under porch sadly. Other than that its a nice little spot

Cute & comfortable
My husband and I traveled to Colington Harbor with our small dog and paddle boards for a 5-day getaway. It was the perfect place and exactly what we needed. Great place to paddle around and made it out to the sound one evening for the best sunset. Property was very clean and had all the basics- linens, laundry & kitchen. We did not really cook (on vacation after all) but certainly could have. CH community has a small sound-side dog park that we visited daily and only once ran into another dog. We have spent many vacations over the years in the Outer Banks but this was our first stay in Colington. Highlights: bringing our dog, reading/napping on huge screened porch, dinner at SaltBox Cafe, day trip to Manteo (go to Charis Coffee co. & Kill Devil Rum) Would definitely stay again.

Back porch and backyard perfection
This would be our second stay here as a family of 6. We enjoy being close to the ocean but having the sound and the dock in our own backyard! My family loves the back porch and dock area. We spent hours each day fishing, swimming and using the paddle board and blow up boat that we brought! We made almost every meal here and spent hours of time relaxing and enjoying family time. The house is clean and the owner is wonderful with communication.

Charming Cottage
This charming cottage on the water was perfect for our party of four. The home was in a perfect neighborhood within close proximity of area attractions. The home was extremely clean and well appointed. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch each evening and watching the boats pass.

OBX Bucket List
Our stay at Water Front Harbor Home was amazing. It was more than we expect. Where else can you get beautiful sunrises and sunsets without even leaving the yard. We really enjoy the central location to the entire OBX area. The harbor is an excellent place to kayak around and sight see the beautiful neighborhood. The cottage was perfect. We loved being able to lay back on the screened in porch and just soak in all in. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Anniversary tranquility
My husband I were looking for an opportunity to decompress mentally and physically. This awesome cottage did not disappoint. The views were incredible and the experience in its entirety was peaceful. The home was decorated tastefully and was extremely clean. We didn’t need anything that we didn’t have. The screen porch was a plus. Communication with the owner was outstanding. Barbara checked on us the day we checked in to be sure we didn’t have any questions. Would definitely consider staying here again. Pet friendly as well

Perfect quiet getaway
Lovely house on the sound! Very quiet and yet close to everything. Really enjoyed the evening sunsets at the little park on Colington Island. This area felt far less touristy than other places we’ve stayed at. Excellent communication with the owners. You can definitely tell that they care about their property and their guests. Thank you!!

This cottage was perfect! Loved being right on the water, and not too many steps. Husband has mobility issues, and though we didnt need a property with stringent ADA standards, this one suited us very well for ease of access and use. The neighborhood was a nice mix of older and new...I loved the relaxed vibe. Wright Brothers Memorial is just around the corner!!! What a plus! Would definitely stay here again!
