“I've stayed in quite a few rentals and this was by far the best. Exactly what you would want for a mountain getaway in the winter. “A friend and I rendezvoused in the Canaan Valley in early November to hike in the nearby Dolly Sods and other trails in the area. Garagemahal was exactly as advertised: clean, quiet, spacious (for two people), and conveniently located. The owners/managers (Chip and Laurie), who live across the driveway, were friendly and available to provide information or report problems to (there weren't any), but were otherwise unobtrusive. We will return.”

“Beautiful cabin nestled in the trees. Perfect place for visiting Blackwater Falls Park. The cabin was the perfect size and offered all of the amenities needed. We have our dog who always travels with us and this place was perfect for her too. The bed was very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the morning sunrise from the deck!”

“This house was perfect for our family of 4 with a dog. It had plenty of space and was recently renovated and well-stocked. The desks in the bedrooms came in handy as I had to work part of the time. The lakefront area is so nice. The Drinking Water system was a huge plus for us. We have one at home and usually make trips to the store to buy water when we are on vacation. No need for bottled water if you are staying at this property. Owners were very easy to work with as I had questions...

“Jim is a lovely and responsive host. The property is just as pictured on the website. The home is a treasure trove of objects from around the world. The bedrooms are comfortable and the kitchen has most all conveniences that we needed to prepare meals. “My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and were pleasantly surprised by all the host had to offer! From complimentary snacks and drinks and a well stocked kitchen, to comfortable beds and a cozy wood-burning fireplace, we truly felt at home.
