La villa está situada en una colina con vistas espléndidas vistas de la bahía de Kalkan desde todos los ángulos de la propiedad. En la planta baja hay una piscina rodeada por un gran jardín arbolado y zonas verdes de sol, así como partes de sombra. El jardín contiene muchas plantas de colores y tiene un olivo que domina la pared. La planta superior de la villa es una terraza en la azotea, que también tiene espléndidas vistas al mar y las montañas. Puede ser utilizado como un área de descanso por aquellos que les gusta dormir bajo las estrellas. Se encuentra a 10 minutos en coche a las montañas ya 5 minutos en coche a la playa. A 15 minutos a pie de la colina te lleva al pueblo 'sueño' Kalkan con muchos restaurantes y tiendas. Desde el pueblo es un 5 minutos a pie de la bahía de Kalkan, que tiene una playa de guijarros y ofrece un excelente y seguro nadar. 3 tramos de escaleras de la villa es una pequeña tienda, restaurante y vegetal y puesto de frutas. La playa más cercana está Kaputas - utilizado principalmente por los locales 10 minutos en coche.

Great villa with fantastic views
Perfect location with beautiful views of the sea and town below both day and night. Even better when sat on the bedroom balcony and roof terrace. Jeremy the host was excellent with communication and answered a whole range of questions before we went. A nice touch was the welcome pack on arrival, all the basics you need need to get you started until you can get to the shops. The villa is lovely and as described. Sharon the property manager was there for us during our stay and paid us a visit on our first day which was an opportunity to ask questions and we sent her the odd whats app. Taxis are pretty much a necessity for most when returning to the villa from the old town due to the sheer gradient of the roads - it’s very very steep. Taxis are relatively inexpensive and easy to get from the taxi rank. Plenty of restaurants to choose from but if you like Indian and Chinese then try Zinbad Hotel which has a rooftop restaurant. We would definitely return to Villa Tara

Fantastic villa
Lovely villa. It’s got a great pool and is kitted out with everything you need. Comms with owner really good and Sharon who looks after the villa made sure we had everything we needed with lots of info for great restaurants and trips. Great trip and we will definitely be back ☺️👍

Another fantastic holiday at Villa Tara
Our 3rd visit to villa Tara and the best yet. The upgrades to the bathrooms and roof terrace make such a difference. We enjoyed a night cap on the roof taking in the spectacular views. The villa, pool and garden areas were spotless on our arrival, and thorougly cleaned again mid-way through our stay. Thanks to Sharon for arranging repair to one aircon unit within the day. Excellent service. We enjoy the 20 minute down hill walk into Kalkan where you are spoilt with so many good restaurants and bars. Taxi service back is good too, less than £5 and regular taxis. Dont be put off with long queue, the taxis come round quickly. Villa,Tara is perfect for us. Two modern bedrooms with ensuites, good private pool and garden, and a nice walking distance to town. Thanks Jeremy, already booked again for next summer.

Lovely villa. Great pool. Location was high enough up the hill for breezes. There was plenty to do locally too. Sharon - the manager sorted a few incidents out - really efficiently. Would stay again.

A place to relax and unwind
We have just returned from an 11 night stay at Villa Tara and had a great time. There is a beautiful pool area and lovely pool to swim in with clear refreshing water, pool man came daily and everything was pristine. The villa itself was clean and had everything required for a self catering holiday. We have stayed in Villa Tara before and the refurbishments carried out are now an asset to the Villa. The rooftop terrace now has a beautiful seating area with stunning views. Kalkan town is a 15 minute walk downhill (to get our steps in) and taxis back which were not expensive and restaurants were plentiful in town with great food selections. If we needed any information Sharon the property manager was always a phone call away and prompt at responding, transport from the airport and return was organised and it was great to come out of the airport and have a car waiting and straight to the villa without any hassle, a perfect way to start the holiday. Overall we had a great holiday and look forward to returning to Villa Tara.

Stay at villa tara
Had a lovely relaxing stay,villa was lovely,i had too days of crazy heavy rain and a bit of water came in and wet rug but not a problem i just hung it outside to dry,dvd player didnt work but no isue either i watched netflix so all in all it was great,i thought i was in heaven and really great that there was some basic provisions there for me on arrival.thankyou so much i would definatly go again

Great views, peaceful area, fab local restuarant Oz pide up a few steps.
We were so looking forward to staying at Tara, we did arrive late and tired and first impressions were not up to our normal standards on the cleanliness in bathrooms and roof top. Windows in the bathrooms were difficult to close to keep out unwanted insects out. The main ensuite was crawling with ants and a number on the bedroom floor, which wasnt pleasant. We managed to eliminated this problem with sprays and it did not happen again during our stay, however should have been sorted before we arrived. We never ventured too far into the second bedroom. When a villa is advertised with having a DVD, not only did this not work, we had to replace all the batteries in the remotes we needed including the TV and CD player. These were eventually sorted when a coaxial cable was supplied, several days into our holiday. Despite the initial teething problems, we finally enjoyed our stay until then the air con in the bedroom wouldnt turn off. We would stay again if the above were put right and checked before arrival/ on a regular basis. The property does require a little TLC but this is reflected in the pricr. .

First family to Kalkan
We stayed for 2 weeks at Villa Tara, as a family of 4. The villa was very near the local supermarkets and we enjoyed our walk up to the them in the morning. We also found a local pizza/Italian restaurant nearby, which was about a 5 minute walk away and the food was very good and reasonably priced. I would suggest getting a taxi into Kalkan town, as some of the hills are very steep and it was very cheap getting a taxi there and back to the villa. We loved spending time by the pool and the gardens are very pretty and we even had a visit from a wild tortoise 🐢 My husband and I loved sitting upstairs on the roof terrace and it would be nice to have some more seating up there. Villa Tara was very comfortable but could do with a little updating but it didn’t affect our holiday there. It was our first visit to Kalkan and we as a family absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.

Our adventure at Villa Tara
Our holiday in kalkan was terrific. Communication with our landlord Jeremy was also very polite and friendly BUT unfortunately we had some problems with Villa Tara. Unfortunately, the villa was only poorly cleaned upon arrival. Furthermore, the water in the sink on the first floor in the toilet didn't drain. So it was not possible to use it. We bought our own pipe free agent to solve the blockage. Unfortunately didn't work. On arrival there was a pathetic and unbearable stench in this toilet. Unfortunately, this was the case for the whole holiday. 5 days before departure, the toilet on the ground floor overflowed with sewage from the other villas. So that the whole toilet and the ground floor also stunk. Last but not least, fitters came on the penultimate day who wanted to dismantle the toilet in order to blow out the sewage pipes with water pressure. There was a risk that the whole ground floor would have been flooded with toilet water. We then prohibited it and asked them to do it after we left. All in all, with a small and significant renovation, it could really be turned into a beautiful Villa Tara. But the owner has to take a few €uros in his hand and start with it.

Another enjoyable stay in Kalkan
The villa is in a wonderful location with an uninterrupted view of the bay of Kalkan. Only a 20 minute downhill stroll into the village with its many good restaurants. The villa is simply furnished, and whilst it would probably benefit from some simple redecoration, it is clean and comfortable, with everything you need. The rental charge is very reasonable, includes a welcome basket and daily cleaning of the outside areas. The pool and gardens are meticulously clean and tidy, with good quality, comfortable sunloungers provided. We enjoyed our second visit just as much as the first, so much so that we've booked a third visit !

Lovely villa with great outdoor spaces.
Jeremy sent us great directions and we were helped with the luggage up the steps on arrival. The villa garden was great and we spent an hour or two by the pool every afternoon after exploring the area. We walked into Kalkan a few times and had nice food. It’s a tough walk back! The living area was comfortable to relax and watch tv. We had a great stay and would consider returning.

Great little place. The condition of the property is refected in the price. It needs a few minor repairs but I'm sure the owner is aware of the issues. Since the listing was placed improvements include a new kitchen, new TV and wifi and new sunbeds and cushions. I would stay again.

Tiny Villa
Sehr kleines, in die Jahre gekommenes Häuschen. Die letzte Woche mehrere Tage ohne Klimaanlage im Eltern Schlafzimmer. Für Familien mit kleineren Kindern absolut nicht zu empfehlen, weil sehr steile und schmale Wendeltreppe ohne Handlauf. Kakerlaken!!! Die vorhanden Küchenutensilien wie Pfannen und Wasserkocher sind sehr abgenutzt/ zerkratzt. Der Wasserkocher sollte entsorgt werden.Es gab nur ein Brotmesser und ein Küchenmesser. Im Wohnbereich haben wir uns mit einem Gartentisch ausgeholfen, den wir von der Terrasse geholt haben. Sonst gab es keine Ablagemöglichkeit für Gläser usw.. Die Dachterrasse ist tagsüber nicht zu nutzen, da hier keinerlei Sonnenschutz vorhanden ist. Abends hätte man den Tisch wieder hochtragen können, um sie zu nutzen. Auf zugesendete Bilder mit Kakerlaken und den eigentlich zu entsorgenden Utensilien und von der fleckigen Sitzgruppe , hat der Vermieter leider bis heute nicht reagiert. Hatte ihm vor dieser Bewertung die Chance gegeben Stellung dazu zu nehmen. Pool war OK. Und die Damen die Samstags geputzt haben, waren sehr fleißig und sauber. Auch Sharon und Rami, die man bei Problemen kontaktieren konnte, waren bis auf den Vorfall mit der Klimaanlage, bemüht alles zu lösen. Fast täglicher Wasser- und Stromausfall scheint ein großes Problem in Kalkan zu sein.

Fab holiday
Just returned from a lovely holiday in Villa Tara. The villa itself is a little tired but very clean and was perfectly adequate for the 2 of us. The outside area was a perfect place to relax and having our own private pool was just heaven. There are 2 small supermarkets and a fab little eating place up a couple of flights of steps which was very useful although if you want alcohol you need to go into town. We tried the walk into town once but it is very steep and it was just too hot so we just used taxis, which for 60 tl was no problem at all! All in all a fab holiday.

Great Stay
We had a lovely stay at this villa. Just enough room for the three of us. Villa was just as described. Pool area was nice and the views were fantastic. Walk down to Kalkan would take about 15-20 minutes but a taxi only costs about £2 into town and you can whats app them and they arrive within 5 minutes. There are a couple of local supermarkets up a few flights of stairs but the area does not sell any alcohol. Nice restaurant also just at the top of the stairs with amazing views again., Sharon was brilliant and helped with everything that we needed.

Relaxing Eyrie
Once we had booked Villa Tara, we were contacted by Jeremy who was very helpful with information on getting from the Airport to the Villa and pre booking taxi’s for us. Much appreciated. Jeremy also sent via email practical information on the Villa. Key Code, how to use the washing machine etc, and the contact numbers for Sharon and Rami. The Villa is tucked away and Taxi drivers from the Airport don’t know where it is. A phone call to Rami and all was solved. Sharon and Rami both welcomed us to the Villa and gave us a short explanation on where the nearest supermarket was. (Just a 5min walk up hill from the Villa) then let us settle. Sharon came over the next day with a map of Kalkan and useful local information. She also booked and arranged 2 excellent tours for us. The Villa is up a steep hill giving stunning views over Kalkan. It is a 30 minute walk down to the harbour. For the walk back we got a taxi costing £2.00 and well worth it. (A photoshot of the Villa’s Street on Google maps is helpful for the drivers to find the Villa.) You do need to be reasonably fit but two over 70’s managed just fine. Having a pool was a lovely place to cool off after walking round the town or to just chill by. The pool was cleaned, and the patio washed down every day. Kalkan is charming, tranquil, and friendly. The old town has small, cobbled streets flanked by white town houses. The houses are festooned with brightly coloured Bougainvillea, Honeysuckle, and Jasmin all with a backdrop of turquoise sea and sky. Lots of photo opportunities. The harbour is small with boats for hire for all day trips or shorter excursions. Round the harbours are a plethora of bars and restaurants. The local white wine we found excellent and the Meze delicious. Villa Tara is a good base for the independent traveller to kick back and relax or to go exploring from.
