Esta es una propiedad alojada.
De nueva construcción de 700 pies cuadrados autónomo de espacio de vida en un ala privada, separada de la casa. Las áreas de dormitorio y salón están llenos de luz, mirando al magníficas vistas de las tres montañas - Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa y Hualalai. Disfrute de la cocina totalmente equipada, comedor, acogedor rincón de lectura en la sala de estar, amplio dormitorio con vestidor, cuarto de baño nuevo con cabina de ducha, conexión inalámbrica a internet y Direct TV (películas, programas de televisión y canales de música).

El banco de teca en frente de la casa es un lugar perfecto para sentarse y ver las nubes juegan sobre Mauna Kea. Por la puerta trasera de la cocina, hay una nueva barbacoa de gas, mesa y sillas para comer o disfrutar de puestas de sol o las noches estrelladas brillantes. También hay un arcón lleno de sillas de playa, tablas de surf y equipo de buceo para su uso.

Nuestro establecimiento de 3 acres tiene una gran casa recientemente remodelado para incluir la casa de invitados en un extremo de la casa. Mi marido y yo vivimos en un ala separada en el otro extremo de nuestro hogar en forma de L. Los dos espacios de vida están separadas por una terraza cubierta con vallas y paisajismo que proporciona privacidad para cada vivienda.

Respetamos nuestra privacidad guests' y disfrutar de nuestra propia. También estamos dispuestos a responder a las preguntas que pueda tener para ayudarle a disfrutar de su estancia en la isla. Nos gusta la jardinería y hemos plantado árboles frutales, algunas verduras y hierbas y muchas flores. Puede compartir frutas y verduras que estén maduras durante su estadía; a menudo tenemos plátanos, lilikoʻi, mango o papaya y hierbas frescas.

Situado en el "lado seco" de Waimea, estamos a medio camino entre Kawaihae y la ciudad de Waimea, a diez minutos en coche de ambos. Las mejores playas de la isla están a 10-15 minutos de distancia.

Situado a 1.800 pies de elevación, nuestros días son soleados y cálidos. Las temperaturas se enfrían en la noche - perfecta para una buena noche de sueño. Cardenales, palomas, jilgueros y otras aves llenan nuestro tranquilo establecimiento de 3 acres con la canción.

Perfect and Peaceful!
It was lovely to wake each morning to birdsong and pastoral views. Perfect for people like us who don't crave crowds. We were close enough to beaches, botanical gardens, farmers markets, historical sights, and amenities that we could easily have our fill of adventures and yet still have a quiet oasis to retreat to. We felt instantly at home! When our home fins didn't fit into our carry on luggage, we prepared ourselves to rent and return fins somewhere on the Big Island. It was a happy surprise to discover that fins and other gear were waiting for us in the storage bin out the back door. And the shelves of books was another delight! There were books for both leisure reading and for learning about learning about Hawaii. It was wonderful to dive into the Hawaiian books to debrief after each day and to tune into the next day's possibilities. As other people have mentioned, the kitchen does not contain a full range, but we found all that we needed and more. And it is easy to see why the place is so comfortable and peaceful; Catrinka is a wonderful host. Always ready and responsive, but never intrusive. For us, it was the perfect place to be! Mahalo nui Catrinka for the wonderful experience!

Peaceful retreat
This property is very comfortable and classy. It is as cute as the photos. With plenty of towels, closet space, kitchen accessories, a book nook and even a work space it checks all the boxes. It was sparkling clean and the hostess was very gracious. Stay here. You will not be disappointed.

Gorgeous views
Our stay at Catrinka’s hale was stunning. Every morning I couldn’t believe the breeze coming through, and the views and sounds of nature out every window. It’s a quick drive to Waimea coffee company or Hapuna beach! There were many useful odds and ends as far as kitchen, toiletry, and beach items. Tape and scissors! We swapped pillows for the ones in the closet that were more like ours at home. Any time I needed something I was able to find it, if I wasn’t I knew Catrinka was a phone call away. Would love to stay again!

Homey and convenient
Loved that this property had absolutely everything you could want to have a very homey experience. We bought some groceries but the kitchen was very well stocked with condiments, oil, jam, cooking tools, etc. We also loved the various living spaces and the beach gear! Would definitely be great for travelers on a budget who want to cook all their meals and do some hiking or exploring on the north side of the island or in Waimea.

Catrinka’s Home away from home
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Catrina’s Hideaway this week. She provides all the creature comforts and more and we love the quiet pastoral atmosphere away from the hotel craziness. We woke to birds singing and enjoyed all the beautiful flowers. Check the cupboards and fridge before grocery shopping as many staples are available. Catrinka was a wonderful hostess. A great place to stay!!

The Location is Ideal for going to the villages of the North end of the Island both east and west.
Wonderful for a couple that likes to visit the small town museums and loves the cooler ranch country of Hawaii. We would come back again and again. Catrinka was so accomodating and helpful with everything. Great at hosting. We have been coming to this Island for more than a decade and half, and will continue to do so. This is now our go to location if available.

Peaceful Retreat
This is a great place to retreat to after a day of sightseeing. It is quiet, very clean and has expansive views across to Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. Good restaurants nearby in Waimea. You need a vehicle to get around. The host is very friendly and accommodating. It's not a resort - just what I was looking for!

Peaceful and Scenic Views
Very nice and clean property in a quiet neighborhood. Lovely view of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. Close to Kohala coast resorts and the town of Waimea. The host, Catrinka, was responsive and communicated well. We had a great time and hope to stay here again!

Great place!!
This little place is just perfect for 2 people. Has everything you need as if you were moving into an apartment! There is even chairs to take to the beach, and there is a nice quiet beach nearby. If you need a nice quiet place off the beaten path and want peace this is it!!! We used the BBQ almost every night so didn’t spend lots of money dining out😀 I would definitely stay here again

Beautiful View
This Ohana is an exceptionally clean, pleasant, private space, with well equipped kitchen. The location is serene, with an incredible view. You can see billions of stars if you are waking up very early! C. was a perfect host, welcoming, but not intrusive. She gave us valuable information about local activities. The birds at the birdfeeder were highly entertaining. Mahalo nui loa to our host!

Cute house near yummy local spots!
We enjoyed our stay at this cute bungalow. Bed was comfy, loved the reading book and full length mirror in the closest and the views were spectacular and we enjoyed the location! It was close to the beaches and resorts as well as the yummy food places and farmers markets in town. Rental car would be a must though! Only downside is no pool but Spencer Park beach is super close and there’s a smaller more secluded beach next to it through the wooded area that’s awesome and not crowded.

Birds, views and comfort
The photos of this wonderful guest house don’t do it justice. Sometimes when traveling one compromises a bit of comfort for a great location. Not such compromise here! The house was comfortable with everything you need to feel at home. The location was breathtaking with ever changing views of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa and the birds were amazing. Katrinka was warm and welcoming… and if she offers you homemade cookies say yes!

Perfect fit for a couple!
Catrinka was a great host and even met us with a couple fresh Mangos from her trees. She kept in contact to let us know which roads were closed due to wildfires and it was a memorable stay for us! Everything we needed was provided and the quiet peaceful location was perfect for our personalities!

Waimea perfection
What a great Big Island choice! This is a stunning property in a wonderful location. Though the unit is attached to the owner’s home, you’d never know it. It has its own level-in entrance and separate parking area, is completely quiet, and it actually feels like a separate cottage. It is beautifully and comfortably furnished, has an unbelievable number of amenities (even down to a yoga mat!) and the kitchen offers meal supplies like oatmeal, packaged noodles, brown rice, and a drawer full of spices. There is a wide array of small kitchen appliances, pots and pans, and utensils—though a small hot plate replaces a range with cooktop. The home is in a private community with widely spaced residences and large and well-tended properties. Best of all, the view over the scenic uplands and toward Maura Kea is stupendous! If you only want to stay at one place on the island, Waimea is a great choice—not only are the surroundings beautiful, but it offers a wealth of restaurants, is at a refreshingly cool elevation, is about equidistant to both Hilo and Kailua-Kona for exploring, AND it’s only a ten to fifteen minute drive to one of the best beaches on the island! Along with a welcoming and friendly owner, what more could you want?

Cute cottage near Waimea
We loved our cottage and the unit was exceptionally clean. The kitchen is fully stocked although there is no stove. We made due with the hot plate. Make note of this and plan accordingly for meals.

Cat's property was more than we expected. The views were amazing, the stars at night were stunning and the area was very peaceful. The house had absolutely every single thing we needed during our ten day stay. This is a 5 star hostess and property. We are looking forward to coming back.
