Pleasant stay
Very nice batch in a great location surrounded by forest . The loop track is 1,5 hours and gives you access to the native bush and a nice pool to cool down.

Just loved it
You can just walk in, relax and let it happen. This property is well thought out, with plenty of opportunity for privacy as well as inviting communal spaces. Superb thinking in having 2 loos and 2 showers! The outdoor fire was a real winner with us and the walk at the back of the property was a nice morning ritual. A great place to just go and stay. Troy and Joanne were friendly and helpful and very discrete. We actively encouraged the dogs, otherwise they would have been equally discrete. We would go back happily.

Incredible house in a friendly and beautiful community.

Awesome bach
Troy & Jo have a super Bach which is perfect if you want to spend a few days enjoying everything that Pelorus Sound can offer. The standard of accommodation is very good and showers and cooking options are excellent. Troy was an excellent and very helpful & responsive host. We enjoyed our visit and would certainly consider returning if we visit Marlborough Sounds again.

Relaxing and quiet
There is just one nice track around and the nice property is at around 700 metres from the sea. The wood fire is excellent and the manager very welcoming. All is confortable with a pretty decoration.

Beautiful spot and the bath is bliss!
This was a lovely place to stay. The house was cozy warm thanks to the fireplace. The set up worked well for our group of 2 couples and 1 teen. Even a bit of rain did not affect our stay in anyway. Troy the owner was extremely helpful with tips during our stay. I highly recommend having an outdoor bath. It was really lovely.

Lovely, relaxing stay!
My friends and I enjoyed a very relaxing weekend! The short tramps and sound was gorgeous, and the house itself had everything one could want for a relaxing weekend: a pizza oven, fireplace, dogs! The hosts were very accommodating and superbly friendly!

Secluded get away
Fabulous location with friendly hosts. We stayed here with my limited-mobility mother and four teens, and it was the best weekend getaway we’ve had for ages. Loved the house, the location, the setting, and the welcoming environment. The downstairs bedrooms (a couple of steps up from the driveway), showers with only a low step, and a downstairs living area meant my mum, who walks with a stick, didn’t have to struggle with full flights of stairs. The kids entertained themselves, leaving the adults to relax. Just what we needed for a short break. Thanks Jo and Troy for your welcome.

Relaxing weekend
We had a great weekend at Kahuroa House with extended family. Troy and Jo are wonderful hosts and we made the most of the beautiful location and very comfortable house. The sleeping layout worked perfectly for our family of 8 and the beds are very comfortable. Even the dog had a good time. Thanks Jo and Troy, you’ve got a stunning property!

Wonderful Kaiuma Stay
Amazing property which was exactly as the listing described. Funky and well-appointed, it’s a great destination if you want to do as much or as little as you want in the Marlborough Sounds. Jo and Troy are wonderful hosts and you won’t be disappointed with their beautiful slice of paradise.

Great weekend away
Myself and a group of friends visited Jo and Troy's property for the weekend. Our hosts were quick to respond to any questions prior to arrival. And upon our arrival, promptly showed us around and provided all needed information. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kaiuma Bay. The space was thoughtfully designed with lots of great touches (pizza oven, outdoor bath, outdoor fireplace, multiple showers/toilets). Troy was even kind enough to pop over and help when we were struggling with the pizza oven process. Highly recommend staying here, we would love to come back.

A Real Getaway
What an amazing stay, lovely house, great views. A real getaway to unwind and really enjoy your surroundings. Troy and Jo were just amazing, such great communication and lovely people to deal with. They were so accommodating and showed us how to drive the pizza oven. Thank you for topping up the wood for the out door fire...what a better way to spend the evenings out on the deck with friends and family enjoying the views and wonderful skyline.

Beautiful relaxing stay
Thank you for a relaxing stay in your stunning holiday home. Just a stone's throw from the jetty for fishing, the river for swimming, and the start of the Nydia track. The house is well equipped for a small group to have a relaxing break away. Thanks again Troy!

A lovely curated experience!
A beautiful home with stunning art by Troy that was welcoming as soon as we turned up; we were greeted by Troy, Puddles and Willie, with the two dogs welcoming our little pup into their gang! Troy was excellent in showing us how to use the pizza maker, and so how could we not share a pizza dinner with them! A quiet but easy spot to spend time at, hanging on the deck while drinking good wine. Jo and Troy deliver an amazing curated experience. One of the best stays we've had in a very long time.
