“Lovely modern hotel offering beautifully appointed rooms. Our room was an ocean view room and the view was spectacular. Comfortable beds, fridge, TV, nice bathroom. Walkable to the Pier Hotel or to town and nearby whale watching. Hotel has a pool onsite, restaurant and bar. Could be improved by offering YouTube on TV as limited TV options. Also no way to pay using Amex which was disappointing. But otherwise a lovely stay very friendly staff and would recommend! ”

It provided everything we need for our stay and the use of the hot tub and do some star gazing is phenomenal - a must if you are staying at Te Mahuru Retreat. “Wonderful different place to stay. Small compact and impeccable. Comprehensive personalised checkin, comfortable bed and great little toilet. Very well appointed and loved the breakfast options in the the truck which included fresh bread, free range eggs, delicious jam, cereals milk tea and coffee. If youve ever wanted to stay in a house truck then stay here. Its very cool. Cheers”
