“I booked this for my husband bc his friends were camping at the campground down the street and he didn’t want to camp as it was cold outside. He loved it so much, he didn’t want to leave. It was the perfect little house complete with a coffee maker, microwave, updated bathroom/shower, large comfy bed and the cutest patio. He keeps talking about it, so we will rebook soon.”

“A wonderful place of respite, with lots of thoughtful amenities. Before this trip, I didn't really know what a Dark Skies community was, but oh, how we enjoyed laying out on the balcony at night, looking at the sky and seeing countless stars, compared to the few visible from home. Close enough to town to visit it at will, and just far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet, and the voices of birds of all kinds. Our golden retriever loved the backyard, as well as hanging out with us, indoors.We...

“Such a beautiful and peaceful property covered in manzanitas, oaks and pines - and views. California Scrub Jays, Stellar’s Jays and Acorn Woodpeckers galore. Wild turkeys passed through daily - at one point we counted a flock of over 50 in the manzanita grove. Two deers walk through, as well. Countless stars at night. The mini cabin was perfect for our desired getaway and was outfitted with all we needed. ”

“Sweet cottage, perfect for our family of 4.Clean, nicely decorated, plenty of towels/blankets. Appliances look new. Didn’t do any cooking on this trip but kitchen looked well stocked with anything we would need. Cara was easy to communicate with. Check in was very easy. Good location near downtown.”

“As the description suggests, this is a tiny little house. Kitchen is good for pre-made food brought in to store and eat. Bed is comfy and the place had everything we needed for a couple of nights in Julian.”
