Chimney Lake Joseph

Overall a good location for our trip. Within walking distance of the major activities at the head of the lake. Comfortable home with room to have extended family for dinner events.Check in/access was problematic due to door code issues that weren't resolved during the trip. We were able to work around it with the back up key system.The lower bedroom and 1/2 bath is not indoor accessible from the main floor house. The lower bedroom is accessible with an exterior stairway down the slope, which wasn't clear to me in the description. Fine for good weather but worth considering if the weather is inclement.Also worth noting that the Wallowa River is immediately adjacent to the rear of the house (within about 15 to 20 yards) and no fencing. So keep a watch on small mobile children.

We liked the river, deck, beds, fabulous downstairs bedroom, price, location to activities. The table is great for the amount of people and for playing family games. What we didn't like toilet paper, pillows up stairs, no extra blankets, sheets or towels. We have already recommended to other family members and plan to stay again. It is a great relaxing place to stay.

Great property for the price!

Wonderful property, perfect location! Getting inside took a bit as the code wouldn’t work but the manager was amazing and very quick to answer. The 3rd room was a seperate entry which wasn’t an issue since my dad was staying with us and so it gave him his own space. It’s right in the middle of all the amazing attractions at Wallowa and an easy walk

Beautiful Riverfront

We completely enjoyed our stay here. The house was very comfortable and the deck on the river was wonderful. It was close to the state park and multiple trailheads. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Getaway

We stayed for a girls weekend. It was out of season which was perfect as it was quiet and this home was a perfect place to play games, watch movies, cook and have a drink on the deck while watching the creek flow by. The place had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall wonderful stay My family enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was quiet and comfortable…had most of the amenities needed. Unfortunately the wifi didn’t work and i was unable to complete work duties resulting in a loss of pay for the day. My teenage girls were also not thrilled to be completely disconnected from friends. We were unable to make or receive calls except for when we went to town. The only other thing i would mention is that one of the rooms is completely disconnected from the rest of the house and you have to take stairs on the outside to gain access to the room. A little inconvenient but we made it work. The creek was beautiful and we were greeted by a herd of deer’s upon arrival.

mountain get away

The cabin is clean and perfectly located by the river, lake and hiking. The tram is a short walk from the house. Only one lawn chair was available and the local management team was awesome and brought us one the next day. The house has plenty of needed items as well. Our only suggestion is please consider better mattresses. We tried both upstairs beds and ended up using a blow up mattress for comfort. Otherwise a great stay, we will bring a mattress pad next time.

Great place to stay!

The house was super clean and very comfortable. How ever it was advertised with a ping pong table we did not find and one of the hideabeds wasn't working. This did not bother the two of us but if our family had come and we were expecting those things it could have been a hassle. Still the checkin communication and cleanliness of the property were beyond measure and the peaceful setting along with the sound of the river were just what we needed. Will definately be staying there again soon I hope!

The cabin was a great place for our family trip. It was thoughtfully appointed—especially the kitchen! There is no ping pong table but there is a foosball table and cornhole game to enjoy. Very close to go carts, miniature golf and hiking trails. Would stay here again!

Loved location , perfect for us 2 couples and one 18 year old. Would have been tight with 8 adults

It was great as our granddaughter is working as a park Ranger at the state park. Close to everything too. Yes we would recommend this rental .
