Much needed vacation and family time!
My wife and I wanted a vacation spot for our family to meet in one place central to everyone to meet that would accommodate my elderly/disabled parents, my wife and I, our adult 4 children/spouses, 5 grandchildren less than 3, and our two friends with a boat. There was plenty of room for everyone to gather inside or outside but the kitchen was a little small for a large group cooking big meals. The outdoor grill was very useful! Everything was clean and fresh and there was a blower on site that we used to blow off the leaves from the decks/stairs. Hot tub was great day and night use. Enjoyed the gas fire pit in the gazebo. There were some safety issues we discussed with the owner who said he would address the next day (stairs, dock, ladder, furniture). We were very pleased with the baby beds, high chairs, play pens on sight! There was not toilet paper/paper towels, trash bags, cleaning supplies but owner offered to reimburse half of those expenses if needed. Over all, beautiful, peaceful place to stay!

Fun Girl’s Trip
We loved the house and its location! It was the perfect size for our group. Everything was super clean when we got there, and there were so many features that we loved (for example, the hot tub). Two things that were not great: 0 of the 3 grills worked, and there were holes in some of the staircases/ boardwalks. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others wanting a Smith Lake getaway!

Spectacular Views
Communication w/owner was great. The views were extraordinary from everywhere! The large windows were perfect for feeling like you were outside even when you weren't. The two living spaces w/the dining area located in between & right off the kitchen was just perfect. We loved it! Beds were comfortable though there was some dirt & hair on a bedsheet covering one of the boxsprings. The extra space downstairs w/the twin beds & rec area for the kids was fabulous though the sectional down there was broken in two places. The inside of property was clean w/only a few minor issues such as some leftover hair on tub walls. The towels were sub par & need addressing. We washed them in hot water & some would come out smelling mildly better, but the second they were used to dry off, the sour smell immediately returned. I recommend new quality towels & don't store them under the sinks. The screened in porch off the side of the house was also a great gathering place, but the spider webs were insane & had obviously not been taken care of in quite a while. We're from here & know that spiders work quickly, but these were not newly built spider webs. The outside stairways & dock need some SERIOUS TLC. There are steps missing on one side & loose boards & dry rot on several. The bridge/walkway to the dock had a hole big enough for a large foot to go through it. Totally unsafe. We brought a piece of plywood from home to cover it up.

This is a beautiful home and location for a vacation. We had a wonderful stay. Lots of stairs to the water but if you’re in decent shape, you’re set. If you’re not in decent shape, you will be after your vacation!

Beautiful lake & nice place to stay!
Loved staying here! The house was great and the entire family had a wonderful time! Communication with the owner was fabulous! Duskin point marina Boat rental was a breeze. Pine Valley outdoor living delivered a towable for the boat to the house. Everyone was very helpful and kind.

Great Location
Overall the location and stay were good. The house met our needs. The gas grill was not usable and the hot tub was very dirty and needed a good cleaning. We had a great time and home met almost all our expectations. Views were amazing. Owner was very responsive to any issues we had.

Quick stay on the way home from Spring Break
We enjoyed our stay here. It is a vacation home and this is the beginning of the season, so it was missing dish soap and some other various items, but being a summer home owner myself, I completely understand how that works in the spring. We were just grateful they accommodated us last minute. We caught fish, used the hot tub, and the highlight was the neighbor dog named ClayMoore. Such a sweet well mannered pooch. Our kids were delighted by his presence. It was a wonderful place to spend our Easter. We hope to visit the home again in the future.

Beautiful View!
We have fallen in love with Smith Lake, and we have stayed in multiple places. This home had the BEST view of the lake from the dining room table. There was lots of living space so that we could spread out. The beds were comfortable, and there was lots of outdoor space that allowed us to spend quality time in the fresh air. Perhaps our most favorite feature of this house was Claymore. Claymore is a black lab that lives next door, and he is the absolute sweetest. He hung out with us from sunup to sundown, and he was so good with the kids and such an added bonus to our stay. We miss you, Claymore! Some constructive feedback - - The dock is in need of repairs. There were broken boards that were covered with temporary boards that had nails/screws sticking up and out. We were pretty nervous having our small kids down on the dock, and we definitely would not have been able to let them be barefoot if we had been swimming. I spoke to Keici about this concern - she explained that they are slowly working on fixing the place up, including the dock :) - The pictures show 4 chairs on the dock, but there was only one. There were, however, kayaks that were in great condition. - There were only plastic plates and bowls, and the plastic plates were in rough shape (very scratched up). Fortunately, we brought paper plates. With regards to cookware, we had everything we needed. We had a great stay, and we would recommend this home for its beautiful views and awesome outdoor space!

Perfect Vacation Getaway
This property is absolutely beautiful. We loved the muti-tiered deck and the swimming dock was perfect for lazy afternoons. The views of the lake are absolutely amazing. Keici was so easy to work with. She answered my questions promptly and we were able to easily add a day to our visit. Jasper is a great town with a charming downtown area. We loved it so much that we decided to buy property in nearby Arley and we are building our own dream house on the lake. Thanks for helping to make our dreams come true.

Labor Day Weekend
This lake house was wonderful and spacious. There are four levels of decks (one with a hot tub and one with a lounge area). The kitchen was well appointed, and the appliances were all new. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Smith Lake is beautiful and there were rocks of the dock that were jumpable! The kids had a blast.

Beautiful Lake House In A Great Location
We stayed here for 3 nights. The lake house is every bit as beautiful and scenic as the pictures make it seem. The home was spacious enough to accomodate our large group of 10, with plenty of sleeping locations for everyone. The property was very clean and well cared for. Check-in process was incredibly smooth and painless, and Keici (property owner) was incredibly helpful with any questions that we had. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, scenic getaway located right on the very beautiful and serene Smith Lake.

Absolutely wonderful!
What a wonderful week at the lake! The owners were responsive and kind. I had their cellphone number to call directly. The place was wonderful! Great views of the sunset while we hung out in the hot tub. We used everything! The fire pit. The dock. The kayaks. We rented a pontoon boat and used the boat slip as well. (We used squirrels boat rental, really nice guy, he’ll give you a discount if you rent during the week!) Constructive feedback: The ping pong table was broken but we were still able to use it. I would consider replacing it with an industrial ping pong table. A crock pot would be nice to have in the cabinet. So we could set our dinner meals and head out to the lake without leaving the oven going. A crockpot is safer. The fireplace ash needs to be cleaned out. Thank you for sharing your beautiful vacation home with us. We will return!
