“The property was better than expected. Lots of space to spread out. The back eating area is very windy (not the home owners fault), but the view is beautiful. There are two other wonderful sitting areas that have no wind. Location is great. We didn’t try walking to the beach, but seems walkable. Grocery store is very close which is nice as well.”

“The Pearl of Jan Thiel is truly that. Modern villa, clean and well appointed. Landscaping of property provided ample privacy whether in the palapa, the pool or outside seating areas. While we had no issues, staff was available, friendly and attentive. Would definitely return to and recommend this property. Helpful things to know: House is one of four mirror images of each other on the property. Rental car recommended - walk to beach is downhill but return obviously not.”

“Mooi, fijn huis. Enkele dingen die ons stoorden: Muffe licht in kledingkasten, wasmachine ruikt niet fris en koffiebonenapparaat stuk. Bovendien ligt het niet zoals beschreven enkele minuten lopen van zee, maar een kleine tien minuten met de auto. Voor de rest fijn huis! Netjes, schoon, fijn zwembad en alles aanwezig. Eigenaar reageert snel bij vragen of opmerkingen. Mer het huis is verder niks mis, echt fijn, maar Curacao is wel passé. Hoop zwerfvuil, armoede en 40.000!...

“I'm not one to write reviews but this was just a great trip. The property manager was amazing and there when we needed. The home was top notch. It was everything me and my family wanted and needed (9) of us by the way. The location was just about perfect. We were very happy with everything.”

“This was our first time to Curacao so we weren't sure what to expect. We loved the house and its elevation. It had beautiful views, and the main floor where we spent all of our time had a wonderful cross breeze which kept us cool as well as keeping the mosquitoes at bay. The 5 bedrooms were nice but we were worried about using too much electricity so we kept the air off in the rooms during the daytime and spent all of our time on the top floor where the kitchen, outdoor dining area and pool...

“Overall the villa is a dream to stay at with its private pool and shady outdoor dining space. The concierge was communicative and welcoming. The master bedroom off the kitchen was easy to cool with an air conditioner and ceiling fan. Guests in the other three bedrooms found them to be warm and it took a long time to cool them down. Consequently we did exceed the allowable electricity charge and had to pay extra. The location near the grocery store, restaurants, and Jan Thiel beach was superb.”
