“We stayed for 10 days at this beautiful cottage. Location was perfect. We saw lots of sights and spent lots of time on several different beaches. Cooked at home and also ate out for dinner. Was nice to have a full stocked kitchen for breakfast and lunch. Relaxing and an absolutely perfect vacation in paradise!! Also owner Linda was quick to respond to our questions!!!”

“This is a gorgeous place. I think that Heaven will be very much like waking up to see those beautiful sparkling blue waves crashing into the white sand just outside our glass doors. I wish I could take that amazing view home with me! The power went out on the island several times but the Purple Papaya has a back up generator, so that was not a problem. The location is great. “Small but cute. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Property needs maintenance. Kitchen needs more cooking supplies. Restaurants on the island are very very expensive so eating at the cottage was a must for us. And it’s not a five minute walk to the beach!”

“The house was clean inside and had plenty of dishes and pots and pans to cook and . Bedding was nice and comfortable. The beach would’ve been nice, but it was windy every day and the waves were way too high for the children to play in the water so we had to go to another beach every day in order to get in the water. “The house was beautiful to match the view. It was super clean and well-kept. It was nice to have items like beach towels and a cloth cooler to be able to use. It was easy to find and a perfect distance from Governor's Harbor. We were greeted by the owner, and she later graciously resolved an internet issue. She followed up later to make sure it was still working. In our opinion, this home is located on the prettiest beach of the island. We will certainly be coming back!”

They gave us suggestions on where to see music and get good food! Scott showed us how to gut Konch shells! In was such a cool experience. “This is a very nice house in a good location. While it is not waterfront there is a good view of the Atlantic from the front porch and easy access to central Eleuthera - Governors Harbor, James Cistern, and many beaches on both the Atlantic and Caribbean. The house itself is spacious, modern and well-maintained. Large double doors on the front of the house provided cooling breezes both day and night. The owner was very responsive to our very few needs.”

“My husband and I had an amazing stay. There was a slight mix up upon our arrival and the house was not ready for us when we arrived, but Lachadra came over immediately to help and we were able to stay at the larger property next door for a night which was nice. Orchid Cottage was the perfect size for my husband and I and had all the necessary amenities. We spent our time exploring the island via the rental car provided. “Property was clean, comfortable and spacious. Location was fine if you had a vehicle. Although the beach was nice, it wasn't really good for swimming. But to be fair, the tide was out when we went.”
