“Beautiful place! We stayed at the Crawford Cottage, which is very cozy. In front of the cottage there is a place to sit and read in front of a fountain. At the end of the day there is happy hour and they share dessert (delicious), tea and coffee. We had breakfast on the terrace overlooking Forsyth Park, a relaxing experience. From the hotel, you cross the street and you are in Forsyth Park, a fantastic place to walk. Definitely a place to return, and connect with the tranquility of the area....

“Una historica mansion muy bien ubicada y con habitaciones muy bien decoradas y espaciosas. Personal muy eficiente, atento y amigable, muy bueno el servicio. El edificio necesita urgente mantenimiento y limpieza a fondo. Se nota la falta de un buen housekeeper. Se ve que tuvo tiempos mejores. “I loved the room it was so historical and very unique. The only complaint i have is the poster bed was a bit high for someone who has short legs and had to pull the chair over to climb into the bed. Maybe placing a step stool under the bed might help. Thank you for the stay it was wonderful. ”

“The hotel is located in a house that has been very well preserved and that is very comfortable. Very few rooms, very good breakfast and great service! The social hour in the afternoon is definitively a plus! ”

“The parking is not a dedicated parking lot; available for 1 guest only behind inn. We were on the 2nd floor. To access we had to climb many steps, of course in keeping with the age of the historical inn. I would recommend a night light to use in the evening.”

“The innkeeper, Rick, is a wonderful Scotsman with a wealth of historical knowledge about the inn and the area (and more). He cheerfully greeted us every morning wearing a kilt of his family tartan. Every morning he also lovingly made a wholesome breakfast and made my husband and I feel like family. I wholeheartedly recommend booking the Desoto Bed and Breakfast for a comfortable stay steeped in tradition. ”

“Stayed here for a mother-daughter trip & loved it! Very clean rooms, delicious breakfast, & a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. Beach towels and other basics are provided to you. Only a few minutes from the marine science center, lighthouse, etc. My only tiny complaint is that our room on the first floor was a little tight and would probably be better for a solo traveler, but I know they can’t do much regarding room sizes! Overall 5 stars :)”

“The staff was phenomenal from the moment we arrived. They spared no expense. The furnishings and decor were a fantastic mix of old and new with that classic Victorian vibe that charms so timelessly.
