“Absolutely loved this historic cottage. Oozing with charm! Kathryn has created such an inviting get-away. We were in town for a family Christmas and needed a few extra beds and a quiet space for a break from the exuberance of 10 grandkids. Perfect peacefulness to be found at this cottage. Just a heads-up to any wanting to stay here; there are several small steps throughout the cottage in addition to the spiral staircase, all very well marked and lit, but still a word of caution for some. ...

“This cute home was exactly like the photos in the listing! It was very welcoming, clean, and super cute! Location is great and it’s easy to get around Spirit Lake and super close to Okoboji attractions as well. Another plus about the location was how quiet our surroundings were and the view of the lake! Host responded quickly to any/all messages. Overall they did a great job of creating a fun and welcoming space. ”

“We really enjoyed our time in this home. It was only the 2 of us and our two small dogs so it was perfect for us. We were surprised that it didn't have closets but certainly not a big deal at all. Lots of condiments in kitchen and pots and pans to use as we make all our meals at our home. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed the nice patio on the deck. The neighbors were so nice, we loved our time there!”

“The house has a very large open living room upstairs, plenty of bedrooms for us. The backyard is large, although most of it fairly steep slope towards the lake. The lake was up several feet when we stayed, so the beach in the photos was under water. Pella is a 7-8 minute drive away. Overall we liked the property.”

“Family of 4 (parents in 50's, college age kid and highschooler, plus a 9 months old Golden Retriever) This cabin has to be one of the best appointed short term rental we've done. Everything needed for a week at the lake, and then some! Kitchen with all the appliances and cooking stuff one need. Really nice shower. The living room had a smart TV with apps we could use our login to watch the Olympics. In the master bedroom, we found floating vest for the pup, and even a full size crate tucked...
