“It was exactly what we wanted, quiet, cool, and comfortable. Our first trip with our five month old and we wanted to get somewhere cooler. Wasn’t too difficult to get through the it was cozy and clean. Would definitely stay again!”

“Good communication throughout with host. I recommend backing into driveway to make it easier on yourself. Area is fine, good food choices and conveniently located.”

“The space was very clean and the bed comfortable. We would have appreciated a coffee maker since there is nowhere close by to get coffee. The little fridge was stocked with bottled water and Sparkling water. The rental is great for a good night’s sleep but if you want a little extra space to relax, you won’t find it here.”

“The Getaway in DHS is a real gem. It’s four apartments constructed around a lovely walled courtyard. The location is in the foothills out of the way but really close to everything. We loved the decor. The comfy king bed was good for watching Netflix and sleeping. Eric, the host is great a genuinely concerned, available owner. We will definitely stay here on a future visit”

“The location and size is great, this place has a lot of potential but it needs a lot of attention. It needs a deep clean. For example there was a lot of cob webs, the chairs outside were very dusty, those details matter. The bed is sinking in the middle. Also the place needs a lot of repairs, for example there was a loose floor plank, and the bathroom door is coming apart. The coffee station is not appealing. Overall this could be a great little place but it appears no attention has been given...
