“The Getaway in DHS is a real gem. It’s four apartments constructed around a lovely walled courtyard. The location is in the foothills out of the way but really close to everything. We loved the decor. The comfy king bed was good for watching Netflix and sleeping. Eric, the host is great a genuinely concerned, available owner. We will definitely stay here on a future visit”

“The location and size is great, this place has a lot of potential but it needs a lot of attention. It needs a deep clean. For example there was a lot of cob webs, the chairs outside were very dusty, those details matter. The bed is sinking in the middle. Also the place needs a lot of repairs, for example there was a loose floor plank, and the bathroom door is coming apart. The coffee station is not appealing. Overall this could be a great little place but it appears no attention has been given...

“I really enjoyed my stay. The property is just as described and was really lovely. I had a restful and relaxing time. The owner Eric made everything easy —from first booking to final departure. He communicated clearly and in a timely manner. His caring really showed I look forward to returning in the future.”

“The Canyon Shores getaway property was exactly as the pictures. Very well appointed condo, close to multiple pools. Canyon Shores has beautiful grounds. My only advice would be to bring a box fan - the unit didn't have one so we brought one along and were able to get a nice cross breeze to keep the condo cool with minimal AC use.”

“This apartment is comfortably set up with all the amenities needed for a short or long stay. The location was perfect for going either to Joshua Tree or Mt San Jacinto or Palm Springs. I loved the mid century modern decor, probably because it triggered nostalgia for my youthful days. Pool was nice for cooling off.”
