I was hoping not to leave a negative review. However, the property owner was very reachable, until it was time to proceed with the full refund he offered and we accepted. The homes were beautiful inside. However the refrigerator was not working at all. They had already placed a temporary mini-frig in the kitchen, but we planned to cook each night since we were in town for my mom’s funeral. It would have been helpful if we had been told about the refrigerator prior to arriving, so we could have had the option to change our plans. I asked if they could put us in another home and they graciously worked quickly to do that. It was also beautiful. However the next morning, a major leak occurred in the living room ceiling causing the bowl-type light fixture to fill with water and overflow at a very fast rate. I called the owner frantically and a plumber came quickly. On the phone, the owner offered a full refund if we wanted to check out. He texted me to go onto the vrbo app and cancel and he would approve a full refund. The app would not allow me to cancel and I texted him asking what else I needed to do. That is the last I heard from him. We checked into a hotel and most of our grocery purchases were wasted. I’ve never written a poor review about anything. I’m just extremely disappointed that communication came to a sudden stop. Burying my mom was hard enough. Michael, please respond to my efforts to reach you.
