Please know that we are simple people that generally stay in hotels like Comfort Inn and were looking for a single unit property of similar quality. Others may disagree with our opinion of this property, but we feel like we should leave our honest assessment.
First, this property should NOT be described as a cottage. It is a single wide trailer with an add on bedroom constructed off of the back. It is located in a rather mundane trailer park with a WIDE variety of quality in the neighboring properties. The online pictures are not inaccurate, per se, but they have been taken with lighting and lensing that overstate the condition, ambiance, and newness of the property. The small sofa in the living area is quite uncomfortable. The bathroom is very small. The property shows its age in many respects.
While that was all rather disappointing, the bigger issue was the very prevalent smell of dogs in the unit. We have owned our own house dogs before and so it's not that we are against dogs. However, upon opening the door, the smell was rather overwhelming (at least to our noses). Certainly, to someone else with a different sensitivity to such odors, it may be just fine. Additionally, most of the windows could not be opened in order to air out the place and those that could had no screens, so they couldn't be left open.
In the end, after paying for three nights, we just had to take that as a loss; we moved onto a different property.
