My sister and I booked a two-day getaway at Hidden Valley Resort, arriving on Saturday, June 7th, and departing on Monday, June 9th. While the resort itself was pleasant and the staff we interacted with were friendly, our overall experience was marred by significant issues with customer service and restaurant accessibility.
Upon our arrival for the 4 PM check-in, we were looking forward to a relaxing stay. However, we encountered a major inconvenience on Sunday evening when we discovered that the hotel restaurant was closed due to a low number of guests. We were not informed of this closure in advance. Having already enjoyed some wine in our room, we were unable to drive to a local restaurant, and we had not packed any food, assuming the resort's restaurant would be available.
We expressed our concerns about this situation, as well as some issues with our room, to the receptionist, Lana, upon our departure. She assured us that the Customer Service Manager would contact us to discuss our concerns further. Unfortunately, we did not receive any follow-up communication. My sister sent an email on Wednesday, June 11th, but still received no response. I called the resort on Friday, June 13th, and spoke with another receptionist who promised that the Customer Service Manager would get back to us that same day. As of today, Monday, June 16th, we have yet to hear back.
The lack of response from the Customer Service Manager is extremely disappointing. We had hoped to r
