Family getaway on the lake in a cabin
The location was nice, stay was nice. Cabin was clean. We probably needed a bigger place with another bathroom. My husband and I took our adult children and their girlfriend/boyfriend. Feed were a little much, but overall It was a nice, cozy get away on the lake for a few days!

Nice Lake Cabin
Great cabin for couple or small family. Good location close to Smith Mountain Lake state park where we took our pup to walk the trails and then to swim. Very quiet area which we enjoyed on our vacation!

The cabin is exactly as advertised. Well appointed and very clean! We had a great relaxing weekend! PS Vinny’s Italian restaurant 20mins away was great for carryout!

Quiet, Convenient Little Cabin
Great space for a small family! We enjoyed the easy access to the water and very private screened-in porch. Tons of stairs everywhere, awesome practice for toddlers trying to figure them out.

Nice little getaway with the family
My husband booked our stay at the cabin which was almost ruined by VRBO from them neglecting to let him know there would be communication outside of the app. We arrived at night so it was dark and hard to see the place because there are no lights. It’s located in a cul de sac and is below street level so you will miss it if you’re not careful. There is a gravel driveway big enough for one vehicle. This is definitely not a home for anyone who cannot walk steps as there are many. The home was perfect with one exception…the kitchen cabinets had little visitors that left little presents meaning we had to wash every dish and cup before use. I contacted VRBO to let them know which they were ready to send someone out to clean but we refused because we didn’t want to be bothered during our stay. The view of the lake from the house was beautiful. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing and the dogs had a blast jumping from the dock. We made breakfast, grilled hamburgers, had dinner at the nearby pizzeria, and s’mores by the fire pit. The hot tub (although very chlorinated) was clean and the perfect temp. If it weren’t for the little visitors, the cleaning crew coming 20 minutes early as if to shoo us away, and the three sets of checkout instructions in the cabin (there’s no dishwasher but it says to load it?!), we would’ve given this place 5 stars.

Relaxing and serene getaway on the lake
Quiet and relaxing cabin. All the amenities and close to state park. Love the view of the lake, seeing birds and deer, and soaking in the hot tub.

Beautiful house/location with some disappointment
The house was beautiful love that it was so close to the lake / dock. Wish there weren't so many bees swarming the hot tub made it difficult to relax. The one big disappointment is the listing said there was a canoe come to find out there was not and that was something we were greatly looking forward to. Would return.

Peaceful spot with great amenities.
Located in a peaceful cove off the main lake, very close to the state park, dock is nice and able to be used to tie up a boat, and the hot tub, fireplace, and grill made the stay awesome.

Peace and Beauty
We visited in February, so we felt like we were the only people on the lake - absolute peace! The only others were the beautiful birds!, lots of them! The property was beautiful and well suited for fishing from the dock and a fire in the fire pit overlooking the lake. The cabin had all as described including a screened in porch overlooking the lake and a fireplace to add a comfort to sitting in the living room. The cabin and property are very well maintained and amenities as described were available. We hope to return soon!

Gorgeous
This property has a gorgeous view of the lake. We enjoyed sitting on the dock in the mornings sipping our coffee and being lazy. The hot tub is a great amenity. We will definitely be back.
