From the very beginning at check in, on Wednesday, for the Darcy we experienced problems. The code to the front door worked, as in a green light indication, but it did not actually unlock the door to open. Maybe it had to do with tge lock part where a key could be inserted could be twisted around, not sure if that was actually the reason. We were given three different codes for three different doors on yhe home. Tthe second door's keypad didnt even light up; therefore, we had to go in and out the basement door whenever we left the house, extremely inconvenient since you had to walk in the dark up questionable stairs. I called Carl, the local contact's number given in the house information booklet at 8:32 am on Friday, to see if the problem could be fixed, but my call went straight to voice mail. Someone was always at the house on Thursaday so we were not so concerned about having someone come look at the front lock. Not to mention we were going to be gone Friday so that would have been the best time for someone to come and not disturb our stay. But he never answered nor did he ever reached out. When one books a vacation home they intend for it to feel like home, and base their choice from the pictures presented to them from the host. The house upon entry looked beautiful at first glance.
