Si la tierra en el aeropuerto de Pico sólo se necesita a10 minutos en coche para llegar a la terminal de ferry para el cruce escénico 30 minutos a la ciudad de Horta, que cuesta 4 euros por persona.
1) Desde Europa: SATA Airlines vuela vuelos directos sin escalas desde Lisboa al aeropuerto de Horta o Pico.
2) Desde Estados Unidos, SATA Airlines vuela rutas Boston a Ponta Delgada, con un vuelo de conexión de 55 minutos al aeropuerto de Horta o Pico.

Nuestra casa de vacaciones está situado en un remanso de tranquilidad y paz establecidos entre frondosos bosques, vagando vegetación y acantilados, que se elevan sobre su playa muy conocida, aún al margen del turismo de masas. Esta combinación de costa virgen y vistas impresionantes hace que nuestra casa de vacaciones, el lugar perfecto para sus vacaciones especial de la familia; o escapada romántica. Nuestra casa está a solo 50 metros del Océano Atlántico, en una carretera sin salida, con tráfico mínimo, no solo un entorno perfecto, sino también un alojamiento independiente cómodo y eficiente.
Nuestra casa cuenta con calefacción durante el invierno, refrigeración por aire durante el verano, lavadoras y secadoras de ropa. Y para aquellas comodidades adicionales, albornoces, un kit de playa completa que le permite extender sus horas en la playa, después, se imagina el enjuague en la ducha al aire libre útil.
El cocinero de la familia puede crear deliciosos platos en la cocina totalmente equipada o mediante el uso de la parrilla al aire libre. El entretenimiento al aire libre es fácil en nuestro patio iluminado, totalmente cerrado, sin escaleras, un lugar seguro para niños pequeños.
Manténgase conectado con el mundo exterior utilizando tanto nuestro servicio de Internet y canales de televisión internacionales, o simplemente puede optar por escapar y el swing de las hamacas, mientras que mirando a cabo en las olas del océano fascinante.

Ideal para las vacaciones de turismo ecológico: Nuestra ubicación está en la ruta de la Rocha da Fajã Camino; una caminata de 2 horas a través de bosques y la costa.

A perfect hideaway
For those looking for a hideaway in a scenic location on the north coast of Faial, this house is perfect. The kitchen is well equipped and ingredients such as oil, vinegar, spices, sugar, etc. were available. At night, as you gaze at the stars from the rooftop terrace, you can hear the sound of the sea and the call of the yellow-billed loon. Smooth communication, at check-in and check-out. The courtyard is very spacious, with plenty of shade, and the hammocks were very popular - with both the adults and the children.

Die Ferienwohnung ist nicht gross aber ausreichend für 3 und die Lage ist einfach perfekt, vor allem wenn man die Meeresbrandung liebt! Wir haben nichts vermisst und die Zeit sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder!

Pure relaxation and deceleration
We were able to get to know Fajal well with a small rental car. All the sights were easily accessible. The restaurants nearby were all very good, whether it was pizza or fresh fish on the menu. Perfect 9 days holiday!

We came to Faial for the first time and this little casa was absolutely what we were looking for. Right beside the ocean, quiet, cozy, clean and comfortable. Thanks to our helpful host Zelda. Love Faial for it's nature and the nice people. We can absolutely recommend this accomodation. Oasis of well-being!

Great Coastal Hideaway
Great small house located on a quiet dead-end road on the outskirts of a small coastal village. Fabulous view of the coastline from the rooftop terrace. Walled, tree-lined courtyard provides shade as well as shelter from rain or wind. Comfortable bedroom. Galley kitchen had everything that we needed to prepare meals. Walking distance to small black sand beach - a good spot for surfing or bodyboarding when the swell is right. One of the island's marked hiking trails passes near the house and several others are nearby. Easy 20 minute drive from the airport & 30 minutes to downtown Horta & ferry terminal. Owner (Zelda) is easy to communicate with & very helpful. She lives on the island & she met us upon our arrival to show us around the house. She was also very understanding & accommodating when we had to cancel & reschedule our trip twice due to COVID travel restrictions (we originally booked for 2020). Overall...Highly recommended!

Knus huis op fantastische locatie
Na erg fijn contact met Zelda hebben we genoten van een week in dit knusse huisje. Alles is aanwezig en er is buiten een mooi terras om lekker te spelen. Omgeving is ook top, mooi uitzicht en ligt gelijk aan een wandelroute.

Fantastic house in an ideal location
The house has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We wish we could have spent at least another week there! The location is beyond picturesque with the water and mountains outside the front door. You can walk to the beach (the water is a bit rough to swim but nice to get your feet wet and take in the views) and there’s also a nice hiking trail very near. The house is nicely designed, cozy and comfortable, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The outdoor space is lovely — we could have spent the whole time in the hammocks listening to the ocean waves! Great communication from the hosts — Zelda was so helpful from the minute we booked — sending hiking and island information and making sure we had all the info we needed leading up to the trip, and she checked in with us during the week as well. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to all!

A Little Piece of Heaven!
This home away from home was nestled in it's own little nook! Quiet, peaceful and yet not to far from it all. Short walking distance to beach, fishing and the best pizza on the island! We found the best restaurant in Faial, Principe! A must if your staying here! What a treat! Zelda and Lawrence were great! Thank you for everything!Very accommodating with things to do and if you needed any information about Faial! Hammocks were a hit as well as the outdoor space to relax and outside shower!! The master bedroom bed was comfy! The twin beds could use a newer mattress. Probably great for children but not adults! We did cook outside as the weather was outstanding! A couple of BBQ Utensils would of been handy but we made do with what we had! Overall, This place was a jewel! Don't forget to take time to see the sunset!! Gorgeous!! Would definitely return! Island hopped to Pico and Sao Jorge was easy taking the Ferry across from Horta! You won't be disappointed!!

Beach Paradise
Os Salgueiros made a wonderful home for our family of four. The courtyard is as perfect as you might imagine with privacy yet plenty of sun. You can't beat the outdoor shower whether washing off beach sand or just luxuriating in the sun. My daughter occupied herself for hours watering the planters and everybody loved the hammocks. There is an air conditioner in the house if you're not used to the humidity. Lawrence gave us a warm welcome on arrival and was a gracious host throughout the entire process. Zelda was very communicative and in the future we'll probably work with her on car rental as we had a really bad experience with Travelocity/Hertz (totally unrelated). Finally and perhaps most importantly, the house is the only place you can rent all the way down at beach level and the praia did not disappoint! Absolutely pristine black sand, zero trash, not crowded, and even has its own natural pool. My son and I also enjoyed the huge waves which were way beyond other beaches (but completely fine - he is 8 and spent an hour getting smashed for fun). Good free showers, trash disposal, a park for kids right there, and the best pizza on the island is a 5 minute walk. Amazing location!

Great Oasis on the North Side
We stayed here at the end of May 2018 and really enjoyed our stay. It's so quiet, and the public beach is pretty much a private beach except on the weekends. The cork bed is super comfortable and the cottage has everything you need: bbq, hammocks, kitchen with cooktop/oven and an outdoor show. Great view off the veranda. The hosts, Zelda and Lawrence, were very helpful with any questions we had. Thanks so much for a relaxing stay.

Dieses gemütlich eingerichtete Ferienhaus bietet alles, was man braucht, um einen herrlich entspannten Urlaub zu verbringen: das Meer befindet sich gleich gegenüber vom Haus, zum Strand sind es nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts. Nachts hört man nur das Meeresrauschen und wenn man Glück hat, das Geschrei der Gelbschnabel Sturmtaucher. Zelda und Lawrence gaben uns viele nützliche Informationen und Insider Tipps zur Insel. Vielen Dank für diese schönen, unbeschwerten Tage in eurem Haus!

Toll gelegenes Strandhaus mit Charme
Eingebettet ins Grüne mit vollkommen privatem Außenbereich zum Entspannen und einer Dachterrasse mit großartiger Aussicht auf das Meer und die imposante Steilküste. Gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit angeschlossenem offenen, sehr gut ausgestatteten Ess- und Küchenbereich. Ein großartiges Domizil in abgeschiedener Lage und dennoch guter Erreichbarkeit der weiteren Insel-Attraktionen. Die Gastgeber Zelda und Lawrence sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir würden uns freuen, dort einmal wieder herrliche Ferientage verbringen zu können.

Like a home but very close to ocean

Ultimate place to relax
Once again we found "our home in Faja" to be a wonderful retreat! The renovations have made it even more inviting; we enjoyed the increased space in the kitchen, the new appliances and beautiful cabinets, as well as the French doors opening to the covered patio. This awning made it possible to even enjoy the rain outside! We love the hammocks, the closeness to the ocean and the beach, the clear night skies, the incredible sounds of nature at night. There is truly no place on earth like it! Regarding the area, the cottage is a five minute walk to "the best pizza in Portugal" at Snack Bar Faja, and a five minute drive to our favorite restaurant (and store), Rumar. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

Das Domizil ist traumhaft, so wie die Landschaft der gesamten Insel. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Ein Manko: die für uns etwas ungewohnten schwarzen Strände, häufig mit vielen Steinen.
