“Stayed a couple of nights for our anniversary and had the most amazing time! This cottage is exceptional.. perfectly situated near beach, shops pubs etc, plenty parking options on a nice quiet street. Inside is really well decorated and has everything you could want or need in a home away from home. Comfy bed, cosy sofa and a hot shower. “Great central location from which to explore the Borders region from Bamburgh to Melrose ; from the Alnwick Gardens to Edinburgh. After a great day exploring to return to our quiet countryside cottage for a relaxing glass while watching the sunset over the hills as the the horses enjoying a late night snack in the paddock and the swifts and bats doing tricks was wonderful . “The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. “Fantastic setting so peaceful with beautiful views. Very cosy well equipped cottage. A perfect base for exploring the beautiful countryside. Only downside was that the next door cottage was also a holiday home so privacy while in the amazing big conservatory with fantastic views of the countryside was limited. “We would highly recommend this property! Very cozy and homely. The welcome pack of essentials was very much appreciated. There were six of us and two dogs and there was plenty of room for all of us. All bedrooms are a good size. Easy to get to the beaches and surrounding areas. The cottage is located in very picturesque, peaceful surroundings. We instantly felt relaxed and enjoyed our time there immensely. We will hopefully be back and will take our golf clubs next time!”
