“Beautiful place. The manager on property was really nice and made the check in very pleasant. There’s a beautiful very large backyard that we sat at night in the grass field in lounge chairs and looked at the stars. The room was very beautiful, the bed comfortable. “Lynn was very helpful. She greeted us as we drove into the driveway during a downpour, arranged our parking, and brought us in followed by a nice tour of the home and the procedures to follow. She made recommendations for dinner and areas to avoid due to traffic. Unfortunately the weather was poor so we didn't enjoy the lovely setting and outdoor space. “What a gem! Inn the Woods is a lovely B&B very close to the FDR home and museum, the Vanderbilt mansion, and so much more. The hosts provided thoughtful touches in our room, such as a small fridge with bottled water, bedside lamps with USB ports, and plenty of hooks in the bathroom. And the breakfasts! “Our stay was rather disappointing. The property seems neglected. Some lightbulbs in the bathroom were not working . The coffee maker was really filthy inside. Instead of breakfast we were offered some packaged pastry from a gas station. Plus, there were a bunch of insects in the room. There was no drinking water in the property we ended up driving to get water. I don’t understand they can charge so much money ”

“The owners did masterful work restoring this home yet paid so much attention in providing up-to-date amenities that people have come to expect. Every convenience was thought of and there were wonderful treats and surprises at every turn. I particularly enjoyed their love of the Hudson River School and all of the lovely artwork represented from room to room. Local history is honored in the house and their knowledge of it is vast. ”

“We came up from Brooklyn to see the hot air balloons with my parents and it was just what we needed. Our Host Glen is very gracious and helpful! We loved staying at the Farm. The church and the grounds are beautiful. Glen provided us with fresh eggs, milk and honey. We were also allowed to pick tomatoes from his garden. All very delicious. ”
