Great place to visit
We had a three day stay at this wonderful home. The home has a beautiful view of the Columbia River…very peaceful and relaxing. The cleaning ladies did an excellent job leaving the home spotless for us. The owners contacted us several times to insure that our stay was without any problems. It is clear that the owners want their guests to enjoy their stay and had the home very well furnished. We would highly recommend this rental for anyone wanting a relaxing time in Hood River.

Perfect Location and Setting for a Group
Hawks Perch is the perfect location in Hood River- it's located on the main street with all the shops and restaurants. The fire pit was perfect and it was extremely well stocked with everything we needed. There were 9 of us and we felt it had plenty of space. Super clean, easy check-in and the host was very easy to communicate with. All in all a perfect weekend!

Perfect Girls Wine Weekend Retreat
Hawks Perch was absolutely perfect for our girls getaway! The place was super clean, well stocked, decorated really nice, gorgeous views and the walk ability was fantastic! Communication with James was absolutely great - even texted me saying if we wanted to check in early the cleaners were done and could check in whenever and he even followed up afterwards. I definitely would stay here again and definitely would recommend this place!

Squad Weekend Fun
Had a great weekend with friends to get away and explore a new city. This home was amazing, location was great, loved the water views and fire pit from the balcony. Had a great time exploring some shops and visiting some breweries.

Weekend stay
We are a three generation family and booked the property for grandpa’s birthday in mid December. First time in Hood River and we loved everything about the property. Beautiful view of the Columbia and Main Street Christmas lights from the balcony. Wonderful to have coffee and tea available for a morning cup. The suggestion for the waterfall hike was much appreciated. It was a great hike for all three generations of us. We definitely recommend this property.

Amazing property for bridal party!
This vrbo was amazing for us and our bridal party! We used it as the girls getting ready spot and the light coming into the living room/dining room was perfect for the makeup artists. All the girls could hang out and make breakfast together. And the decorations were spot on! We had to fight the boy for this vrbo because it had an awesome pool table area as well. Would definitely stay in this property again if returning ti hood river!

Walkable respite with a view!
The owner was very communicative and accommodating. The space was perfect for my two younger children; 2 and 4. The area surrounding the “hawks perch” was great for finding local coffee, food, and had access to three playgrounds (walking distance). We’ll certainly be back.

Wonderful rental!
This is a very beautiful and well stocked property. There was everything we needed and more. We were able to check in early, communication with owner was easy and quick, and the views were amazing. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone.

A must stay!
This place did not disappoint and was the perfect home base for our wedding weekend. James was an amazing host and quick with communications. The home was clean and even more beautiful than the photos. If you are looking for a place in Hood River, this is hands down the best spot!

Great group house for weddings
Me and my bridal party stayed at this house during my wedding weekend. The house has lots of convenient parking, is really close to many bars, restaurants, wineries and hikes and it has a BEAUTIFUL view. The house had a lot of cozy amenities for us and a great place to spend with friends or family.

Stayed at James’s house with my bridal party for our wedding! It’s in a great location with easy access to everything in downtown Hood River. The place was clean and spacious - our bridesmaids photos turned out great! All the best and rooms are very comfy, and the bath/shower in the main bedroom is heavenly! Thanks for a great stay!

What a view!

Perfect location and so clean
We visited the property for a quick couples getaway and could not have loved it more. It is clean and the views are incredible. Perfect location for exploring town on foot and just a short drive from everything else. Highly recommend.

Easiest Owner to work with
The property was as promised, it was lovely, clean and exactly what we needed. As we were there to work, it gave us what we needed. Honestly many houses could have delivered. However, James was a pleasure to work with. So responsive and attentive. If he owned multiple properties, I would go out of my way to use his houses. Often with rental properties it is more about the home owner and their rules, what is easiest for them, their preferences, their needs, their schedules. I didn't feel that way at all working with James. It really seemed like he wanted us to be there, feel comfortable, welcome and as at ease and relaxed as we could possibly be. He was so accommodating and on top of everything without being overbearing. I always prefer hotels for my personal travel, but if all owners were as easy to work with as James, I think I could be converted. 100% recommend. Clean, lovely, just as promised.
