“The host responsiveness was unbelievable. The refrigerator stopped working in the middle of our first night there -- a Saturday. He had a replacement solution before noon on Sunday. Everything was clean and in order. Very good Wi-Fi. A local host who really wants to get things right.”

“We stayed for 9 nights in July 2025 with 4 people and 3 dogs. The home was perfect for us: clean, well-appointed, well-located close to the city, all-one-floor (one of us is handicapped), plenty of parking (even for additional visitors), and a large fenced-in yard. “Our family is spread over the Chicagoland area and this was a very central location to Downtown and various burbs for us. Property is well kept. Minor upkeep needs did not overshadow the great layout, condition, and comfort of this home. The rooms were comfortable, and we loved both the basement rec area and the outdoor patio. The fenced in back yard was a HUGE bonus for our dogs. And above all, the owners were AMAZINGLY responsive and helpful. We will definitely seek out this property next time...

“Really beautiful and safe neighborhood just 3 mins from the train station. Access to the city was really easy!Beds were very comfortable, the only thing I'd flag is the steep stairs may be difficult for elderly or people with mobility challenges. Other than that it's great spot for all. ”

“The place is very quaint but a bit tight for our group. For example, you could not open the basement door and the back door at the same time. This made unpacking and reloading a challenge. The downstairs "lounge" was somewhat finished with painted walls floor and overhead. Very low ceilings down there as well. My 6'4" husband banged his head more than a few times.
