This was our first experience with a property having a management company. It would be helpful if the gate passes were mailed in advance, instead of having to be picked up. We did feel secure with their code system on the rental door. They also helped us, when we got locked out of the rental at the end of our stay. We didn’t like the fact that in the fees you pay a large amount (maybe around $160) towards a beach rental company, which we were unaware of before hand. You then get $250 to spend with the company, but it would be like an additional $40-50 to have the items delivered. We needed to rent bikes, but this rental company did not have what we needed for a family with kids.
The rental was in a wonderful location! We loved that we could quickly get to the blue trolley line, and it was a short walk to the Sea Pines Center. Having a pool just downstairs was great! Taking our stuff up 3 floors, was a little tiring. There is a large treat that made the rental feel very relaxing too. We did have an ant problem, if any crumbs, even the smallest were left on the floor. Dishes and the washing machine were not clean. The plates had food all over them, we decided to buy disposable stuff for the kitchen, as we didn’t want to scrub and wash everything. My husband had to clean mold out of the washer gasket, before we used. We found the master mattress to be very uncomfortable. We loved the master bathroom renovation. The skylight is amazing! Softer bath towels and a shower seat would make the space even lovelier! Be sure to check the window locks if you have small children, most were unlocked. We went almost all week thinking the tv in the master didn’t work, turned out it is linked to the light switch. There are no curtains in the living room/dining room, if you like privacy in these spaces at night. To us the location, decor/colors really made this rental!
