¡Aloha!
Somos Keone y Yonnell Farias. Ambos nacimos y criados aquí en esta maravillosa isla. Le damos la bienvenida a nuestra hermosa casa nueva y estaría encantado de compartir con ustedes nuestros lugares favoritos. Ubicado en un tranquilo vecindario de Waiakea Uka, estamos a un corto paseo de 10 minutos desde el aeropuerto, a 35 minutos del Volcán, ya sólo unos minutos de tiendas locales de comestibles y restaurantes!
Waiākea Uka se traduce "el lado de la montaña" de Waiākea. Hay hermosas vistas de Mauna Kea y Mauna Loa montaña. La Universidad de Hawaii en Hilo se encuentra en el distrito de Waiākea también. Hay parques y tiendas de conveniencia con a poca distancia de la casa, pero un coche sería más adecuado.

Hilo Memories
Thank you for a wonderful stay! The house is as described and more! After a busy day out sightseeing, it was always comforting to come back to a house that complemented our visit. We appreciated the usage of the garage with the garage door remote especially on those rainy Hilo days. The owners took much care and thought in making this house so welcoming! Just the little details such as a welcome gift and a dozen eggs from their backyard chicken coop was a sweet gesture. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer but we are looking forward to staying at this home again.

Very Comfortable Local Home
Everything you need for a great family stay in Hilo. Just be prepared for the coqui frogs. Bring your love of nature or your earplugs at night! The hosts are responsive and accommodating.

Beautiful home on east side
Beautiful home, centrally located to everything we wanted to see/do on the east side of the big island. No AC was not a problem as long as windows were open and fans were going. Only had to shut them all the first night after a rain as the frogs were out in abundance! Other nights were fine. Washer/dryer and other amenities were very useful. Enjoyed the fresh eggs from the chickens in the coop as well as the snack package you left us. Thanks!

Comfortable and welcoming
Our family was here for a memorial service and arrived from Georgia, Ohio, Washington DC and Maine (7 adults). UhiWai was the perfect gathering spot for us. We were warmly welcomed by Yonnell and Keone and their home was comfortable with room to spread out. Every possible amenity was thought of and provided. I would happily return.

Home Away from Home
The property is a great little place located in a middle class neighborhood. The location was perfect for all the things we wanted to do on the Hilo side of the Big Island. Volcano National Park and lots of other hiking trails are within a 30 minute drive. There are several beaches/lagoons in close proximity which provide swimming and snorkeling opportunities. This place has all the amenities we needed. There is no AC which made some us a little nervous at first because you’ll want to keep the windows open at night to get the cool breeze, but we ended up liking it because you get to hear the frogs at night and the roosters in the morning which made us feel more connected to the area. We loved Hilo!

Great Stay
Good location to take advantage of the Hilo area and the east side of the Big Island. Very clean and safe. Beautiful home. Had just about everything we needed during our stay. We would stay here again, book with confidence. Left us a nice welcome package and included a dozen fresh eggs. Very much appreciated. One little thing, there is a gas grill, but if you use it there is an additional cleaning fee. That should have been disclosed in the property description.

UH Hilo Commencement
My wife and I stayed to attend our daughter’s graduation from UH. The location was perfect, close to everything you need. The house was clean with an open concept. Everything you needed for a perfect stay was provided! Great communication with the owner, what more could one ask for. Mahalo!!!

Property is in a very quiet residential neighborhood a ten minute drive from downtown. Kitchen was well equipped and the owners left us a dozen fresh eggs from the coop behind the house. House was clean and comfortable and you enter through the garage with a clicker so no need for keys or memorizing entry numbers. Overall a nice place.

Wonderful Stay in Hilo: Comfortable Home in a Great Location
We had an amazing time in Hilo staying at this lovely house that exceeded our expectations. The house was equipped with fantastic amenities, making our family feel right at home. Anniversary stay with the fam!
Great modern home with comfortable sleeping spaces and open family space. Kitchen served us very well. Enjoyed preparing our own meals and eating at the house. Great quiet location. Easy access to all the local sites.

It was a perfect location, as it was just minutes away from our conference location, eating locations, open market and shopping. The home accommodated 6 adult women with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Beautiful setting, very open for the beautiful scenery out the windows in the dining room, kitchen, living room and both bedrooms on the back of the home, with fresh and cool breezes, we were able to sit in the dining room and enjoy each other's company. Definitely a keeper. Mahalo -

Family stay in Hilo
Our family of four enjoyed a comfortable stay at this clean, welcoming home. There was plenty of room to spread out, unpack and settle in for a week. We loved the ease of pulling into the garage and loading or unloading our van on our daily excursions. The quiet fans in every room and nice breezes that flowed through the open windows kept the home comfortable. Earplugs at night while the Coqui frogs partied, allowed us restful sleep. Quiet and Peacful
This home is a gem. Its located in a very quite neighborhood not far from Hilo town. Easy access to the airport, grocery stores and lots of local eateries. This home beautifully upgraded, comfortable and very well taken care of. Having gone to Hilo for work it was beyond perfect after a long day. The property management was very professional and responded immediately to any of our needs.

Lovely house
We stayed for three nights at this really lovely house in Hilo. It looks just as pictured. It's very well-located for getting into Hilo and to the surrounding areas. The host also gave us some oranges from her tree, and homemade malasadas (look them up!). She also provided umbrellas to borrow, a necessity in rainy Hilo. Bring earplugs for the frog noise--it is quite loud.
