“Lake nice. Rooms like any Ibis but too expensive. Small swimming pool we didn't use it. And paying extra for amenities and Internet it's just a terrible idea. Why don't they just ad 15 pounds to the price of the room and don't act like a low cost airline. The resort is not low cost. Brilliant lake view from the Lodge. Ugly restaurant and bar. The machines doesn't work they keep your money and lady in reception couldn't help. It's not a 4 stars hotel! ITS NOT LAKE...

“I might have misread the blurb, was expecting a kitchenette and a full size fridge so was surprised to find just a kettle and mini fridge. My room was one of the tiny ones which was expected, room was clean as was shower & toilet. Bed was a single but comfy, slept like a baby although the 14 miles walked helped! Nice pub next door with quiz on Thursdays! Overall good value, and help only a phone call away. Good location on a quiet road midway between Windermere and Bowness”

“A comfortable and well equipped flat in a massive residential complex. Staff were friendly, enthusiastic and capable. Free parking was available in the centre of the surrounding roads, sufficiently close that the car was visible from the flat. “We loved our stay in this cottage. The owners have put such thought into the items and I loved the textiles and pictures. It was super comfy and a real treat to stay at the cottage. Although easy access via a main road and spar garage for goodies, the cottage itself is in a private road and set back. We were able to walk from the cottage to the most glorious walks. The house was perfect for us as it had plenty of space, lots of bedrooms/bathrooms, making it a very comfortable stay even with a large group. The communication with the property manager was great! “Owners of Cottage provided a phone number to call one week before our arrival. Numerous attempts each day and "no one" answered the phone. And there wasn't any way to leave a message. On our way to the unit, we had an emergency, one member, in the emergency room for 3 hours. I tried getting hold of the unit, no response so I called VRBO. We had to cancelled because I could not speak with the owner about our situation and their accommodations. Request complete refund.”
