“The overall week we stayed here was very nice! The front door was very hard to open when we first got to the house, but we were able to get it open after some wiggling. “We had such a nice time, we stayed an extra day. This was the perfect getaway home to spend a casual thanksgiving weekend in. A quiet, comfy home right on the edge of the inlet was so perfect. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook with, and the hosts replied quickly to my questions. As far as location, you aren’t right in Shelton, which is great. We visited, but definitely preferred the quiet of this location. Thank you! ”

“We booked this property while taking a trip to the west side to visit family. We originally chose it because it was close to the zoo. The fact that it’s a completely remodeled, period style home was a quirky bonus, until we got there. Every detail was perfect, from the furniture down to music playing when we walked in. We’re already planning our next visit, but without the kids next time. ”

“Dont stay here! The place is nice inside, but if you want to sleep, dont stay here. Train tracks are a block away and blare their horns all night long. There were 3 trains alone from 1-1:30am. I asked to cancel my second night stay and get a refund due to the fact that this noise issue is not disclosed in the posting. “Area is so beautiful with the smell of the pines. The fall colors of the trees and peaceful trails. Pete and Bonnie are so accommodating with my asthma they made this stay better than I could imagine. This cottage is roomy, comfy and close to everywhere you would like to go. “Beautiful property and view. Loved all the treats left by the host and the Nespresso coffee machine. Enjoyed sitting on the window seat at the huge picture window in the dining room drinking coffee, visiting and checking out the wonderful view. Appreciated the work stations and high speed internet. Kitchen well stocked, beds super comfy and hot tub toasty. This is out second visit, but sure it will not be our last. Highly recommend. comfy beds”

“We enjoyed the roomy bedroom which included a cute mini kitchen, sitting area, and half-bath. The view was awesome! What was surprising is that the area is upstairs, inaccessible to handicapped persons. Full bath downstairs and nice office space. We did not attempt communication with the property manager but had to rate that in order to submit the review.”

“We live on-island and had family in town so we booked this house on the water to accommodate everyone. This house was well-equipped for cooking insofar as cooking utensils. Be sure to bring your own necessities, like oil, salt, and sugar. It was very comfortable—beds and bedding—and there were climate controls in each room. You’ll want to buy some firewood in town for the crazy wood stove. Very clean. Amazing views. Great showers. We would stay here again. ”
