We spent two weeks in this marvelous Garden Cottage oasis on the owners' property tucked in forested Laurel Park, but minutes from all Hendersonville and Asheville have to offer. The Garden Cottage provided a perfect spot to rest and recharge after the hectic cross-country drive. From here, one can explore the mountains of western North Carolina and northern South Carolina. Don't forget to take advantage of the helpful books on the region the owners have made available and go discover waterfalls and hikes describe therein. They also have a great booklet of tips on restaurants and places to go. Or, just laze on the Carolina porch with the windows open, particularly in the evening when the frogs and crickets are singing. In the morning, sit there and sip your morning coffee while the birds serenade you. There is a lovely bench The floor plan is quirky, but in a fun way. The tiny kitchen is remarkably functional, particularly since it is well outfitted. We stayed there because we were in the middle of a cross-country move before we could move into our new house. The Garden Cottage provided a perfect spot to rest and recharge after the hectic cross-country drive. The owners could not have been more accommodating and welcoming, a common Southern trait. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
