Great weekend getaway
This is our second year staying here, and it was another great stay. It has all of the comforts of home, and it makes for a relaxing weekend vacation.

Perfect for get away
We loved the property. When I say there was everything you could need here, I mean everything! I brought my own mini-Keurig, as I prefer that to the 10-cup pot that was there. I think I even saw an air-fryer in the closet! It was cozy and arranged so well. The refrigerator had an ice and water dispenser, and the water tasted as good as my own! The setting is beautiful and the property obviously well cared for. The host lives right next door, which was convenient for us, as we had trouble with the TV and didn't know if it was senior citizen operator error. Susie came right over and checked it out. It was the TV, not us. So, she brought the one up from downstairs and got it all set up for us and made sure it worked correctly. The next day, she bought a new large TV for us and came over and installed it as soon as we were there for her to do it. It was a perfect location, with the driveway off the highway, but with the woods around us, we never heard any traffic. It made a great base for us to explore that part of Wisconsin! Susie was a great host!

Great place!
This place is in excellent condition, was very, very clean, had all of the necessaries include and was conveniently located for us. We fished Lake Namakagon and the boat launch was an easy 15-20 minute drive. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

Great location - though just off the highway the house is surrounded by woods. And it’s just a quick drive to the Birkie Trailhead. The house is comfortable and well supplied. Great stay!

Peaceful and Relaxing
This is a beautiful cabin in a peaceful and relaxing setting. It's easy to get to off the highway and close proximity to town. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We will definitely recommend this cabin as a place to stay when you are in the Cable, WI area.

Awesome stay
We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying at this home again. It was very clean, private yard, quiet location, close to Cable for shopping. We were able to have a campfire and use a charcoal grill. All great!

Little gem of a cottage
This cottage was extremely clean. The cottage was very spacious, we expected it to be smaller. Beds were both very comfortable. This cottage was extremely stocked with everything you could possibly need, even a back scratcher. We have never been in a rental that was stocked this well. When walking in you got that comfy homey feeling. The only negative I have is that we could not enjoy a fire at night in the nice fire pit due to rain both nights we were there. But that is not the fault of the owner but mother nature.

Cozy, clean and awesome location!
Everything was perfect at the property and close to the CAMBA trail system. It had everything we needed for our stay including a garden hose to clean our bikes and gear. Washer/Dryer in basement. We biked over 65 miles for our short 2 night stay and it suited our needs perfectly. It was within a 5 minute drive to the many great restaurants in Cable. Couldn't have worked out any better! Will be back again!

Exactly what we needed
We were in town for a bike race and Susie's place was a perfect spot for us. It was clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and conveniently located near all the places we needed to be. Will definitely try to stay here again when we're back in the area.

Great house in a great location
I traveled to Cable with my teenage boys to do the Book Across The Bay cross-country ski event. We needed a comfortable landing spot to stay since our friends' cabin was going to be overrun with high-school girls. The house was great, plenty of room and very comfortable for us. It was also spotlessly clean. Thanks to Susie for being a great host!

Quiet and Super Comfortable
This was a great place! We only had a short stay, but it was perfect. The house was super clean and very comfortable. There is loads of space for parking and the drive was impeccably plowed despite a lot of snow. It is just off the highway, but tucked in the woods- it was very quiet and has a lovely wooded view out the back windows. We would love to stay again!

What a delightful find just south of charming Cable WI. We’ve rented cabins and homes using VRBO in numerous locations across the US over many years and this home ranks at the top in terms of stocked goods and cleanliness. The range of items for renters was stunning, napkins, toilet paper, tissues, picnic items (disposable dishes and silverware for instance), spices, cleaning supplies, shampoo, conditioner, soap, extra towels and bedding if needed, and the like. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed for meal making. The beds were comfortable, hot showers, great water pressure, fast Wi-Fi, extremely quick response time from owner. We loved the home and highly recommend it. Very scenic area, snow laden pines. We skied at nearby Drummond, the Birkie trails by 00 and the old Telemark Lodge site, and the hospital trails in Hayward. All suitable for rusty, classic skiing Iowans who rarely get the chance to ski. Visited Redberry Books in Cable and had a pizza from the restaurant sharing the same space. We’ve stayed in many locations in this general area and have now found a home we hope to rent again for a future ski trip.
