“I grew up in Defiance, OH as did my spouse. We usually stay with my mom when we visit for the holidays but this time an elderly aunt got mom’s guest room so we debated as to either getting a hotel room for multiple days or a VRBO. I am very glad we chose staying at The General’s Quarters. It is a cozy place, with a lot of references to General Anthony Wayne, the inevitable founder of Defiance, OH. A perfect place for two or a family to stay at when visiting this city of 20,000 in NW OH.”

“Upon arrival we fell in love right away with the property, neighborhood and quaintness of the area. We were a little disappointed in the size of the room as we were in Rm 1. Great that we didn't have to make the stairs though. Loved everything about our stay and the quietness of the neighborhood. Enjoyed sitting and relaxing on the front porch. All in all it was a great stay. Enjoyed all the text messages upon arrival up until leaving. Very personal and informative. We will definitely be back....

“We couldnt get in or get ahold of owner at check in time, so we couldnt cancel before check in time. Home is in a bad neighborhood. Kitchen cabinets full of junk and pans etc were nasty. Fridge was dirty and mildew in freezer. Bedroom1 pillows were brown and old. Bedroom 2 there was saw dust all over the bed and there was either mold, or bug feces onbox springs. Bedroom 3 had no sheets on the bedand stains all over pillows. There was no heat coming into any of the bedrooms. There was snow and...
