Land Shark was amazing with gorgeous views from every room! There was something to please everyone in our family of 17 (ages 5-71). Even the teenagers had a blast! We celebrated a 70th birthday, a 10th birthday, 3 lost teeth (the tooth fairy visited), and the Easter Bunny hopped around all four levels leaving treats! Weather was perfect as were the accommodations. Our host could not have been more gracious or responsive throughout the booking process and during our stay. The area was quiet and it was a wonderful getaway for our family to relax and enjoy the beach and beautiful house. It exceeded all our expectations!

Inside and outside all of the spaces are beyond imagination! The views were fabulous and we loved watching the activity behind us and the waves rolling in in front of us. Loved everything. Beds so comfy. Four level living with heated pool and hot tub on 1, kids’ level with theater and game room on 2, adult kings each with private bath on 3, and 4th level living/dining/kitchen and another king with bath made this the perfect home for our family of 10. Decks and views abound! Quiet location with ice cream parlor and great pizza place in 1 mile walking distance. Loved it!

This property is in a great location… could use a bit of love that has started. We were traveling with 8 littles and there were nails and broken outdoor furniture…we apparently rented during transition of owners and property management… took a bit to get answers but were able to arrive, get in and enjoy a wonderful week!

We choose a centrally location with beautiful views. It was the first time in the Outer Banks and could not have been more pleased. This home offered something for everyone, the elevator was key for my parents. Highly recommend.

This was our second time staying at Landshark, and we love this house! While there was an issue with the elevator, it was due to it being broken, and property management promptly sent someone out to fix it. The house owner and property manager did a great job communicating with me. The views and proximity to the sound and beach cannot be beat. I’m sure we will stay here again!

We had a great stay at Landshark! Very comfortable and accessible. I’m an amputee and the elevator made it easy for me to get everywhere. Several in our crew went out into the sound and got plenty of clams, oysters and scallops. We had ourselves a fresh seafood feast! The owner was very accommodating about any concerns we had and the property management company was on the ball to address any issues which were very few. Thanks again. It was a blast!

We had 5 couples and 2 small children. We had a wonderful time at the house. It had everything we needed and more. The stairs are a bit much for the older folks so the elevator was very useful. We spent a lot of time on the top floor with 365 degree views of the ocean and sound. My only complaints would be that the living room furniture definitely needs a refresh. They have seen much better days. And the pots and pans probably need a refresh as well. Otherwise, our trip was perfect, despite a visit from Tropical Storm Idalia. We would definitely come back to the land shark.

We had a great stay at Landshark! We had adults, teens, toddlers, and an infant and this house worked for all. Beautiful home, clean, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook in. We highly recommend staying here and we hope to visit again!

We had a wonderful time a the Landshark! The highlights were the location, the pool room and Tiki Bar. We celebrated a 70th birthday with a fun pool party and catered from a local seafood place. Highly recommend!

Even though the weather was not the greatest we had plenty of entertainment with the pool table and theater room. The views from every floor were incredible. Short walk to the beach was a plus. The owner was very easy to work with and did his best to make our stay an enjoyable one. Will definitely recommend this rental.

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious and comfortable home. The views are incredible - especially from the living area with water on all sides. The elevator was a necessity for us and much appreciated as was the handicapped accessible bathroom. There are also many nice decorating touches throughout. The issues we had were quickly resolved either through the property management staff or the owner. We have already talked about a return visit to Landshark.

This home is magnificent. Every bedroom has a view of either the ocean or the sound. Walk out on your deck in the morning and take in the breath taking views of the sunrise. Equally beautiful are the sunsets. The boys really enjoyed the game room and the theatre was nice for our rainy evening. The “shared space” aka kitchen dining room and living room was where we all spent time together during the evenings. The kitchen is stocked with so many things, you’ll want for nothing. Short walk down the driveway is the ocean. Beautiful tall sand dunes and a beach fill with miles of shells! So many restaurants to choose from. Quaint coffee shops(with pastries to die for) and the ferry to Ocracoke is a worthy day trip.

It was a great week in Hatteras! House was nice and big for space for all. Elevator was nice since there are 4 floors in the house. Kitchen had everything you need in terms of pots, pans, dinner ware and appliances! Not having to bring sheets was a plus as well! Bed are a little hard if that is something you worry about. We did have some issues with the hot tub. It didn’t seem to control the temperature too well and at times was too hot to get in. The bubbles would work when they wanted too. This was not a deal breaker though just a heads up. Kids loved the pool and was worth it to have it heated since we were there first week of April. It was a good week!

Gorgeous location with views of the sound and the ocean, and a nice house that didn't receive enough care before we arrived. Grill was filthy even though owner says they charge $50 if you leave it dirty - I figure they owe me for cleaning it. Broken built-in table, beer can in the pool, broken screen door in main living room. Shoes required on all decks - very rough with protruding nails. Could be phenomenal with a careful pre-rental inspection.

We felt the description and pictures were misleading in that the house was not directly on the sound and the private dock and access belonged to the house next door. Also, the washing machine was broken and we were unable to wash towels, hot tub towels and kitchen towels all week. The chairs in the living room are worn out. Two tubs dripped constantly. Most dishes needed to be washed before use. The plastic glass wear always looked dirty. The house is large but in no way luxurious.

We enjoyed staying at the Landshark with beautiful views of both the ocean and sound. The beach was a bit further than we expected and required climbing over dunes. Based on the pictures we also thought we had direct access to the sound for fishing. However, it’s view only. The house was amazing, spacious, and provided great entertainment amenities.
