Rough River Lake House está convenientemente ubicado junto a Axtel Marina y Nicks Boat Dock

La casa tiene cuatro habitaciones, tres baños completos y medio baño. Tiene capacidad para 12 personas, con ropa de cama disponible para 5 personas adicionales a pedido, por lo que es perfecto para esa gran familia o grupo de familias. Tiene un plano de planta abierto con una cocina y comedor totalmente funcionales, con capacidad para 10-12 a la vez. El sótano todavía tiene un área de bar sin terminar, ¡pero hay una gran sala de juegos para entretenerse por la noche o en días lluviosos! El lote tiene frente de agua con un muelle de tres dedos disponible para nadar. Beautiful Lake House
The house is beautiful and the water view is absolutely breath taking. The game room and kid’s play room was an added bonus and enjoyed by all. The host (Brandon) was very responsive and accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend this property and we hope to return in the future!

Staff Retreat
The house was just what we needed for our staff retreat. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of kitchen wares. We thought we were going to run out of toilet paper but we squeaked by! Great Location To Marina
This is a wonderful large home with a view of the lake and super location to Nick’s Marina. Kitchen is very well supplied. Home was neat and pretty clean for a rental. Could use a deep cleaning. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Amazing reunion gathering!
We had a group of 11 friends and family scattered across the country who were seeking a somewhat centralized location to gather and enjoy some low key time together. This property fit the bill perfectly! From the earliest planning stages (a full year beforehand) to while we were actually onsite, Brandon was in regular communication with us to address any and all concerns or questions that we had (and things did get complicated with date and guest count changes). So absolutely first rate in that regard. The property itself is beautiful and extremely functional- it should meet the needs of any group ranging in size from 6 to 12 people (more if you don't mind using pull out sofa-beds, etc.). Slight ding on the cleanliness at check-in due to some things the cleaning service had missed, but I am confident these were an isolated occurrence. Overall, a wonderful VRBO experience!

Wonderful house for a family gathering!
Brandon's house was a perfect place to gather for a Thanksgiving get-together. He was helpful and communicative, the check-in process was easy, and the house was well-stocked and clean. We loved the view of the lake, the ping-pong table downstairs, and the playroom upstairs. We loved the big table and plenty of chairs for our large family! Would highly recommend staying here!

Very nice home
We had a very good time at this property on the lake. Very comfortable beds lots of room. Location was just a little bit hard for one of our handicap people. Property is located at the bottom of a very steep Hill. We couldn't get the TV downstairs to come on and see anything. Overall it was a good stay.

Beautiful house, by the rough river lake. Very near to the place boat and jet-ski rental location. Only problem was the 150 steps to the dock!! Plan well before you go to the dock!

Amazing, private getaway
Spacious house for big gathering of 3 families. Great location! Beautiful view of lake. Nice, spacious kitchen, really nice coffee maker, and oven/stove, spacious fridge. Enjoyed multiple beds and bathrooms. It was so nice to have the playroom and games room. Central air conditioning was a blessing. Lots of indoor space to hang out in large and small groups, as well we enjoyed the spaces on the the back deck and front porch. Kids enjoyed the built in bunks, especially the individual lights for reading and the bottom bunks being double beds. They were very comfortable beds. Beds in playroom were also very comfortable. Basement bed was very comfortable Firewood provided was a blessing. Bench swings around fire pit and on front porch was a nice feature. Swimming off the dock was very refreshing and fun. Communication with owner was easy and helpful. Owners were quick to get us more towels and coffee filters when we let them know that there was a shortage for our group of 15. Local Dollar General had almost everything we needed for our stay (aside from the items we had purchased at Costco before our arrival). A few things to be aware of: Sticky island counter (likely a varnish issue, not a humidity issue as we had initially thought) There were NO basic baking ingredients like salt & pepper, sugar etc. as mentioned under “what is provided” on the Rental Info sheet. For such a big place with space for up to 15 people, there were only 2 wine glasses, and not enough larger serving bowls. There were only 2 extra blankets in the whole house. BBQ grill needs to be replaced. Flames and hot spots in some places while burgers remained uncooked in other spots. Steep driveway. There are almost 150 stairs to the dock. There is mention of “lots” of stairs but over 100 steps could be a deal breaker for some. Noticed Poison ivy and poison oak on the trail down to the dock, and covering at least one tree in the front yard, even growing in the front garden. Chiggers became a problem for several people in our group. Overall amazing place and would definitely come back!

Simply Wonderful
This was a great place for our Thanksgiving! We had a group of 10 for a week. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the playroom upstairs was amazing. So much room and lots of toys. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen is large so we had plenty of room to prepare our big meal. The dining table was large and the living room had lots of cozy seating. They layout is nice as you can be in the kitchen, or at the dining table, or in the living room, and still all be together. The big windows let in lots of light! The microwave broke and the owner had a new one delivered the next day!! We loved the location and the town of Hardinsburg. We took several walks down to the water. There are a lot of steps but it is worth the walk. It is so pretty. There are lots of landings along the way if you want to rest. The only thing I would mention was that the upstairs bedroom, with the great bunkbeds, didn't have a closet, so just know that you won't have a place to hang clothing if that matters to you. We were fine living out of our suitcases. All in all I would highly recommend this rental!! All 10 of us (age 5 - 65) really enjoyed our stay here!!
