What I liked:
- The apartment was big with two bathrooms
- The host was very good with communication (fast and courteous)
- There was an ample supply of drinking water.
What I did not like:
Location: The apartment is very far from the city center. Depending on the traffic, it will take 35-60 minutes to get to the Old Quarter. There isn't much else to do around the apartment. The surrounding area seems like a Korean restaurant district, so unless you want that, there isn't much else to do. The lake in front of the apartment looked nice in the picture, but it was fenced all around and inaccessible.
Cleanliness: The apartment is generally clean, but not 4.5-star hotel quality clean (It is listed as 4.5-star, but it is nothing near that). This is a privately managed rental unit. We stayed three nights, and no cleaning was provided. Even the towels were not replaced in those three days.
Incorrect description: The listing states that the unit has a washer and dryer, but it does not have a dryer. The host tried to help with the situation, but in the end, nothing was done.
- Road noise: You will hear lots of road noise throughout the night.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience. We thought we were booking a 4.5-star property, but this was just a private rental unit with minimal maintenance. We may also have been unlucky with the unit because every unit is meant to be different.
