Initial impressions were quite good; location is central to all things within walking distance, the grounds are beautiful, parking was seamless. The real disappointment came around midnight. A group of four drunk individuals camped out in the central lobby directly across from the reception desk. They were loudly yelling, laughing, and overall obnoxious. I attempted calling the front desk to ask they intervene but no one answered. At around 1:15 am, not able to sleep I went out of my room to ask they keep it quiet and ideally go to their room. I was then threatened by one of the party that “I’ll whip you up bad”. I returned to my room, they did leave, but a night was wasted at this hotel. My poor review is based on asking in the morning if they have a night clerk, only to learn yes, and the day clerk was aware of an “unruly” group on the second floor. It was clear they knew who these people were, but did nothing as management to intervene at the expense of patrons who were expecting a nights rest. Horrible customer service. In the end I was not offered so much as an apology. If traveling to Hamner Springs, do the favor of staying elsewhere.
