Ambiance, historic character, and functionality flow throughout this home’s well-appointed rooms. Anything one could reasonably expect to need is on hand and easy to find - from dry kindling/cut firewood, to a well curated assortment of kitchen/laundry supplies, to indoor plumbing (complete with hot water!), to fresh eggs in the full sized sparkling clean fridge from the owners’ very entertaining, generous, and adorable chickens. Turning into the long driveway, this property immediately beckons. Every view of this beautiful pastoral setting, whether walking along the driveway or looking out from the beautiful colonial windows and large paned sun porch, appeals - so very lovely! This property’s fine qualities provided exactly the perfect place to quickly recover from jet lag and long car rides and then feel ready to venture out to get to experience some of Leesburg’s and Purcellville’s wonderful offerings. Most appreciated were Senor Ramon’s Tacos and Hogg’s BBQ, the W&OD trail (with and without bikes), vineyard hopping, a top notch Cimiez Manor wedding, big breakfast served from the well-equipped kitchen’s island across from the big kitchen table with a few wedding guests dropping by for a bite before finally departing on Sunday, and finally re-entering the (fall season’s) atmosphere at the Haunted Halloween attraction in Purcellville. Sitting around the fire pit Thursday night reconnecting with family on the back patio after dark inspired lots of laughter by way of well-intentioned story telling, if not a little ribbing, by siblings and parents before attending to a couple of last minute wedding preparations Friday morning : )
