'Wastin' Away 'es una cabaña que ha sido remodelada con las comodidades modernas. Es una casa pequeña, con dos dormitorios y 1 baño, pero tiene una gran sala de estar. Está cerca de las hermosas playas del Golfo, ofreciendo a los huéspedes un valor real en su visita a la playa.
'Wastin' Away 'está completamente amueblado, todo lo que necesita traer es su comida y ropa para pasar un rato divertido en nuestras hermosas playas de arena blanca no llenas de gente.
Para aquellos interesados en la pesca en la bahía o en el golfo, el lanzamiento de un barco público en el sitio histórico de Fort Morgan, a aproximadamente 2 millas de distancia, ofrece un acceso rápido tanto a Mobile Bay como al Golfo de México.

Se admiten mascotas en nuestras playas, como el alcohol, además de que no tiene que quitar el equipo de playa todas las noches.

Location, Location, Location
This property is located in a family and pet friendly neighborhood. Gulf Shores is a short and easy drive away and Dauphin Island is a fun Ferry ride away. The beach is just steps away! The communication from the property managers was fantastic!

Vicki and I were looking for a place that we could escape the winter and found it here at Wasting Away. It’s a beach bungalow cottage with everything you need to enjoy Fort Morgan, one of the best kept secret's. The place had what we needed and if it wasn’t there we went to the Dollar General to get it. Wasting Away is about the beach, surf fishing, Mardi Gras and the Blue Angles flying by. If you have pets it’s perfect, a short walk to the dog friendly beach and miles of open space to run and play. The open floor plan has the longest kitchen center piece I’ve ever seen. Great for gatherings and just spreading out a buffet. Wasting Away is for independent minded people that can improvise, making it what you want it to be. It was the perfect place for the beach hippie in me. We plan to come back soon.

Girls weekend

DO NOT STAY HERE
Do not stay here unless you love extra unwarranted charges. We were charged $150 for leaving a very little food in the fridge and a little trash in a bag in the kitchen. I have proof! Ask me for details. TERRIBLE hosts. Called and harassed me. I have the pics that caused them to do so. Love fort Morgan, this is the first place to make me not enjoy my time here. Tina Scarborough and husband are awful.

Great place and amazing location!
This place is wonderful! It was just right for two adults. Sure, the furnishings might be a bit dated, but they were functional. And nothing can beat this location! We wanted a quiet place for some beach R&R, and we got exactly that!

We were very pleased, the house was nice and clean and not far from the beach. Tina was an awesome host and we will stay in a property owned by her, if available, next time we go on vacation. Convenient to Gulf Shores snd places to eat.

Family friendly and relaxing atmosphere
We enjoyed our stay, this was our first time to stay at Ft.Morgan and we discovered a paradise. It was refreshing to enjoy an beautiful beach without the fanfare of more popular areas. Definitely a must on our future beach trips. The rental was dated but clean. It was a camp experience. Our next stay request will include 2 bathrooms and a larger shower. But all in all it was a good place to stay for our needs.

The house was amazing a little small but for a family of 4 perfect. The house is a little lower to the ground than the rest of the houses down there so if you are over 6 foot tall you have to watch your head. The house was clean an comfortable

Avoid! This place is not maintained!
If you like staying in a dirty, old house then this is the place for you! The house has major deferred maintenance issues (broken lamps, deck that is buckled with nails sticking up) as well as old furniture, dishes, etc (seriously, this stuff is what you’d find on the side of the road AFTER a yard sale bc it would not be bought). I’m talking about chipped dishes & mugs, and the oldest, nastiest pots and pans. There is little to no lighting at the bottom of the stairs and treacherous, HUGE uneven pavers. I fell at night on them walking my dog and split my head open. It was not a fun trip at ALL. It’s obvious the owners have zero pride of ownership. I’ve stayed in rustic cottages on Ft Morgan for YEARS and have never encountered anything as bad as this one. Would not recommend at all.

Nice Time Wastin' Away
Everything about the house was as advertised. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach, which was generally not too populated. Check-in & checkout were smooth, and we encountered no issues with the house. The expandable dog gate was a real plus, allowing our two doodles access to the full deck without worry about them escaping. We would like to return. Although the yard of our rental was mowed, many adjacent lots were not, leading to sand spurs everywhere!

Beach Bash 22
This was our first vacay since Covid and we rented this house and another one from Joe and Tina! The houses were perfect and she was only a phone call away if we needed anything! When the add says fully stocked kitchen, it means it! We had everything from spices to all kinds of pots and pans! The AC works amazing 🥶and the huge kitchen island definitely comes in handy! Check in was super easy and Tina always made sure we didn’t need anything. We’ll definitely be back next year.

Condemnable Property!
We rented this property for a week, but within 30 minutes of arriving, we left and went to a hotel. The next day I notified the owner that we would not be staying for the week. I realize this property is older and therefore, definitely more affordable but it is simply unacceptable. Please, please avoid the mold, dirt, dust and just plain filth factor of this property!! I don't want anyone else to fall victim to a ruined vacation!!

Enjoyed our stay at Wastin Away!
We enjoyed our stay! We have stayed at a family members house that is directly across the street for several years now. When that house was not available, we were excited to find Wastin Away. We love the area and enjoy being able to walk to the beach, bring our dog with us, and feel safe letting the kids play outside. We had a great, relaxing family vacation here! Thanks Joe & Tina!

Pretty good
We loved the location of the home. It is in need of some work and a good deep cleaning for sure. It’s pretty run down. The one bed is pretty comfortable the other one is pretty bad. Closet space is not the best the one room closet is filled with a hot water heater and cleaning supplies. Bathroom is pretty small as well. The living room/ kitchen area is large and very nice

Close to the beach
The property was the perfect location. Close to the beach, just a short walk. House was clean and had everything we needed for the week. A huge plus was being able to bring our dog. The beach is also dog friendly. Don’t waste your time going to Tacky Jacks pricy and bad food. Sassy Bass seafood was great but there breakfast buffet was horrible. There is only to places to get groceries. Sassy Bass has a grocery store and there is a dollar general as well. If your looking to just relax and do nothing this is the place for you !!!

Well loved house in great location
The location is excellent, about a 90 second walk to the beach. The house is comfortable with everything you need to cook meals at home. It is a more rustic property that is a little rough around the edges but it is a good value for the price. Overall we had a great trip, definitely check out the Sassy Bass, the food and service are excellent! Don’t waste your time or money at Tacky Jacks!
